"Carter, I've been thinking a lot recently and I realized that I've never felt this way before about someone." Asher says as he moves closer to me.
"Asher, you're with Layla." I gently push his chest.
"I know." He sighs as he tucks a stray piece of my hair behind my ear. "I just can't seem to get you off my mind."
He starts to lean in flickering his gaze from my eyes to my lips.
I slowly start leaning in to meet him halfway.
As our faces are only inches apart I can feel his minty breath on me. Closing the gap between us he leans down. I close my eyes as his lips are about to meet mine. Taking in a sharp breath I -
"CARTER, WAKE UP!"
I shot up panting as I held my hand to my chest. Taking in my surroundings I look around to see that I'm still in my bed.
"What's up with you weirdo."
I turn my head to see Jason standing at the side of my bed looking at me disgusted as if I have two heads.
"What do you want." I groan throwing my body back down on my bed covering my face with my arms.
"Get up, we're leaving in ten minutes." He demands.
"What do you mean we're leaving in ten minutes." I mumble still covering my face.
"I mean it's seven o'clock and we have school. Seriously dude what's up with you?" He questions furrowing his eyebrows.
SEVEN O'CLOCK?
I frantically turn to the side to check my phone. And by turning I mean I pretty much chuck my body across my bed scrambling to grab my phone. But of course nothing ever goes my way. So instead of just grabbing my phone, it slips out of my fingers and lands on the ground with a loud thud.
I dramatically fall off my bed landing on the hard floor. I seriously need to invest in a rug.
I hesitantly grab my phone that landed face down. Please don't be cracked, please don't be cracked. Turning it over I let out an audible sign of relief when the only thing I see are the few scratches I've accumulated since I've had it.
"Alright, now that that's out of the way, I suggest you go brush your hair or something. You look like you've been in a category five hurricane."
