There was a knock at the door, I knew who it was, I had expected him. I sat at the kitchen bench munching on an apple. I waited for him to come in, I knew he would, but he was so set in his gentlemanly ways that he had knocked and not come straight in like I had instructed.
He still hadn't come through the door, or even reached for the door handle.
"You can come in babe." I called out. Uncle Alex shook his head from the stove where he was making an omlette. The front door opened and Morgen walked in, he was dressed in a button up T-shirt and a pair of knee length brown shorts with black vans. I stayed at the bench as Morgen walked up to me and placed a kiss to the top of my head as a greeting. He said hi to Uncle Alex and sat down next to me. His eyes surveyed my appearance. I knew he didn't want us to go to his family's house today, especially because of what happened yesterday.
His eyes gave me an up and down look with his eyes. I wore a pair of dark washed high rise denim jeans, a white mid-drift long sleeve that was figure hugging and reached the top of my jeans. I also wore a scarf, just a thin white one that wouldn't get too hot, a pair of black boot wedges that covered the end of my jeans. I had my hair out and a pair of hoop earring in my ears.
He leaned close and whispered to me.
"We don't have to go, you can still change your mind." he said. I shook my head.
"We're going." I said back. I saw a small smile form on my uncle's lips even though he was on a side angle, he heard it all.
"We should probably be going now then." Morgen said to me. I nodded. I walked over to my uncle, hugged him and placed a kiss on his cheek.
"Bye Uncle Alex." I said. He smiled and waved us off. I turned to Morgen and took his hand as we walked out the door. His car was waiting in the driveway. It was a red jeep with a convertible roof, it kinda reminded me of a dune buggy. He opened my door for me and then got in. He started the car and once we started driving away he grabbed my hand again and placed it on the seat space next to him. I could feel the air rushing through my hair as we drove down the road. I smiled at him just as he turned to face me and smiled. He turned back to the road. My scarf was billowing in the wind like a plastic bag in a hurricane.
I was so nervous, what if they saw my scars and wanted an explanation, I had put make-up on them all, but some were swollen or embedded in my skin. I was nervous because I didn't know what they were like except for Laryanna.
Morgen squeezed my hand. He turned down a road that lead to a beach and parked on the sand when we were out of sight.
"Baby, calm down, they're my parents, not mass murderers." he said with a mirthful tone trying to calm me down. I smiled. He always knew when I was nervous or scared about something.
"I know, it's just that I'm really nervous." I said. He smirked.
"You weren't like that earlier. Having second thoughts baby?" he asked in an accusing tone.
"No, we're still going, so stop trying to talk me out of it. Nothing you say or do will change my mind." I retorted. His smirk grew as he leaned over me and locked my door, then he put his hand down next to me, caging me in his body.
"Nothing?" he asked in a devious tone. I tried to stay calm, he had me right where he wanted me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled.
"Nope." I said surprised that my voice was even. He went for my neck, and started a sequence of small butterfly kisses. My breathing turned shallow as he carried on, and when he gripped my thighs I groaned and wrapped my legs around his waist, I could feel his smirk against my skin, but the way he was gripping me felt too good for me to care right now. I dramatically sat up and pushed him away from me. He gave me a confused look.
