They then became the feared Clarks.
Since everyone in their arrondisement knew about their telepathy and they were survivors of the Outsider's experiments, they were feared. But more than anything they were feared due to the Macrocosmian legends that had somehow made their way to Earth about the Veils, the Wards, the Ficts... and other powerful families back there. They both knew that as long as they were alone on Earth, they were doomed, and only their vengeance spirit could save them.
