Chapter 16: not the head !!

" I don't understand you " moe says waking up to me
after our game against Canada, to which we won 4-1
I give her a blank look and raise my eyebrows

"Huh?" I question her confused

" you got a hat trick within the first 15 minutes of the game " she looks me up and down and then takes a step back " are you even human ?" I laugh along with the rest of the girls and pat moes shoulder

" honestly I'm pretty sure I'm from mars , would explain why I'm so awesome " I glance around at the team " and why y'all are just ...not "

"Hey !" The girls yell at me and I laugh again

" I'm kidding ! " I smile " you are all awesome "

" Awwh look at j here being all sappy " Ashlyn comes over and messes with my hair to which I smack her hands away as she smirks at me and then whispers " also don't think I didn't see you swapping Jerseys with a freckled Canadian "

"Hush "I point at her and she just winks at me

" well you did good kid " Alex walks over " keep playing like that and you'll have NWSL teams begging you to play for them "

" you think ?" I ask

" we know " hope says smiling at me from her place in the locker room " now come on we got a little surprise for you " she gestures for me to follow her and the girls

"Huh?"

"Mike ! Sara !!" I rush up to my friends and pull them into a hug " w-what are you doing here ?" I ask once I pull away from them , a huge smile on my face

" well a couple of the girls got in contact with us a couple days ago and wanted to fly us out to surprise you " mike says smiling at me " nice goals by the way"

" we told you you'd be a star " Sara smiles at me and I just smile back at them

" I really missed you guys " I mutter out

" we really missed you too Jordi " Sara says and pulls me into another hug , I just wrap my arms around her and hold back my tears , I didn't realize how much I've missed them until now , seeing them now just makes me see how much I really needed them the last couple of days , I missed my family and mike and Sara have always been that for me .

" told you she'd be happy to see you " Mallorys voice cuts in and I pull away from Sara to look at her

" you knew ?" I ask her and she nods

" she more then knew j " tobin speaks up " having mike and Sara here was all mals idea " The girls nod and kel wraps an arm around Mal

" sweet little Mal came to us about it after the night you opened up to us " kel says smiles at me and I look to Mal

" why ?" I question her And she shrugs

" I hated seeing you go to sleep all sad every night , I wanted to see you smile again " she says shyly and I smile

" thank you Mal " I turn back to Sara and mike " well come on let's head to the hotel , I have a lot to tell you guys  " they laugh and I wrap my arms around them

" you slept with Mal !!!" Sara yells smacking the back of my head

"Ow ! Not the head !! " I swat her hand away

" I can't believe you slept with mallory not just once but several times " mike says from his place on my bed and then glances down at said bed "are these sheets clean ?"
