Sighing as I check the clock, 2 am, too late to sleep but too early to stop studying. I continue answering my homework and making the assigned project that was supposed to be group work but none of my groupmates are interested to help. After some time, I wipe my glasses since it was getting blurrier and drank some water.

I was leaning on my back on the chair while looking at my room where most of my parent's books are arranged neatly and their paintings hang on the cabinet. I miss them. Too bad I don't have my mom and dad to help me with studying. I shrugged off the loneliness that sometimes I remembered in the wee hours of the morning. My parents died in a car accident leaving me alone in the house and this life. You see, I'm an only child by two respected professors but sadly they got into a car accident causing me to lose them. My grandparents aren't alive as well, I don't have any relatives I knew that are near me. Which means I'm alone. I don't even have a friend, to begin with.
Tagged as a nerd in school, honestly, I don't mind at all. What I only want in this life is to fulfill my parent's wish, for me to be a dedicated professor like them. Gaining the knowledge of both smart parents, I too am considered smart. Smart enough to ace every student in the Prestigious Seoul High School. I was a scholar since day one. I, being a perfectionist, studied a lot and made sure to exceed the expectations of my teachers. I was never sociable. I don't mind people looking at me like a dork. I'm fine with myself as long as I can eat three times a day and achieve my goals, I'm okay with it. My parents luckily save enough money for me to use until college but I don't wanna spend too much. I already planned everything in my life. From high school to college until I graduate. I have a goal. And I'm going to conquer it whatever it takes.
The only thing that makes me happy is my dreams and my love for music. I always love to sing. My parents were my no. 1 fans. They've been nothing but supportive since I was young. Dad would always tell me that I should not only learn to study but I also have to gain some hobbies that my heart wants. He also likes music that's why he thought me how to play the piano, drums, and guitar. But that was only it. My goal would still be a respected teacher like them.
