Chapter 49: Future seems to be Bright and yet it also seems to be Dark

{John's POV}

     The battle has just begun. Our forces (British, Italian, and Beacontowners) has clashed with the Axis Forces in Crossfire and Close quarter combat. We outsmarted the enemy by forming up into 5 formations to trap them in a focused combat position. But they still outnumbered us 5 to 1. Our forces fought fiercely against the Axis Forces, both hand in hand and crossfire combat are fought between us and the enemy. The 5 formations that i suggested were led by different commanders. Colonel Conrad and Colonel Gorzia led the 1st group, Captain Montgomery led the 2nd group, Amy and me led the 3rd group, Jesse and Petra led the 4th commander, and Mike and Jack led the 5th group

Me and Amy rushed to the battle with our troops clashing with the Axis Japanese contingent. They were the most brutal and ferocious but mindless contingent than any other contingent in the Axis Forces but they are compared to the Germans brutality. Most of the Japanese forces are consisted of Samurai armed with modified Katana and spear supported with their light imperial infantrymen armed with Arisaka rifles fixed with bayonets and type 99 SMG. Our forces, mostly consisted of British and Irish contingent from the 5th Brigade. They are well trained veteran who fought in the last battle of the Empire back in our world. I armed myself with a Revolver Mk6 and a Sabre while Amy armed herself with a bayonet fixed thompson smg. We are about to fight the Japanese

"Hey Amy" i said to her, she looked at me "You ready?" I asked her. She smiled at me

"Born to be ready, John" She replied, cocking her gun ready. I looked around us. Our Troops, The Italians, and the Beacontowners were doing good at fighting the Axis forces. They smashed at each other with their weapons trying to kill one and other. Most of the battle were fought hand in hand combat, but the English Riflemen used this to their advantages by supporting the close combatants of our forces by covering firing whilst joining the hand in hand combat with their sabre or their fixed bayonet rifle

"Alright, let's do this!" I said to her, she nodded. Then we looked in front of us. 5 Japanese Samurais and a single Imperial Officer are upon us. They charged at us with their Katanas and pistol raised. I pulled out my Revolver as i shot two of them in the head. Amy used her SMG and fired the third samurai with 20 bullets as she reloaded it. They died instantly as they turned into inventory loot. Only The other two Samurais and the Imperial Officer remains. They continued to charge towards us and the Imperial Soldier pulled out his own katana and joined the Samurai charges. This time they were too close to us and ready for a hand in hand combat with us but Amy doesn't have any melee weapon so i ordered her to lead the others while i fight these bastards

"Amy, lead the others fighting the Axis. I got this. You have no any Melee weapon and the butt of your Thompson is no use against Samurai thick armor" I told her, she obeyed and nodded as she went to the others to lead the others to fight the Axis Forces. I stared down at my opponents who were already in battle pose with both of their hands gripping the Katana just like the what the Samurai tradition originally instructed them to do

"Alright Boys, give me all ya got!" i said, challenging them while readying my sabre. I waited still in my battle stance, waiting for to make their moves. The Japanese officer pointed a finger at me and ordered one of the Samurai to attack me

"Anata-tachi no naka no hitori! Kare o korose!" he ordered the Samurai as one of them lunged at me with his Katana. I deflected his attack by clanging my Sabre against his Katana. I must admit: Samurai are strong bastard. Sure, their weapon is a simple yet improved Katana. But, Bloody Hell! This Chaps has a strong arm for sure. But no matter how strong the Enemy is, I will not yield so easily

We slashed our blades at each other a couple of time while deflecting each other slash. Then, the Samurai decided to strike me down by raising his sword as high as his head and struck me down with such a powerful force. I deflected his strike but it was way too strong than i expected. I tried to push him with all the energy i have in my body. I pushed him but he pushed back his blade against mine too while i tried to break his strike. After some time of pushing and pushing, i finally managed to push the Samurai by gripping my sabre harder and pushed him off me as hard as i can. The Samurai stumbled on the floor with his Katana dropped next to him. When he tried to grab his Katana back, i pulled out my revolver and shot him in the head as he died instantly. I put back my handgun in my holster as i looked up to the other two Japanese. The Samurai charged at me, raising his Katana. When he reached me, he slashes his sword against me. But i dodged his attack by rolling besides. When i got up, the Samurai continued to run and slash at me. I deflected his slashes by clashing my blade against his. We continued to clanging our blades against each others until the Samurai decided to pull back and drew his spear. He lowered his spear as he charges at me. He lunges at me with his sabre but i deflected it by drawing my sabre against the strong push of solid wood handle of the spear. Wait, Solid Wood!? Okay so that's why it's so hard to push them. I decided to change my strategy by kicking his leg he fall back on the ground and dropped his spear. I approached him as i knocks him out using the handle of my sabre. The samurai fell unconscious quickly after i hit his head with sabre handle
