Chapter 51: Light of Hope shines on the Dark Path we went through

{John's POV}

We aimed our grappling hook at the top of the Behemoth. This robot is atleast 10,5 inch tall. I don't know how the Jerries managed to built this huge machine but i bet they used their superior technology to build this machine. We let the grappling hook pulling us up, guiding us towards the top of the Jerries Huge War Machines. The sound of battle bellow are still heard even at this height. I could see the Allied reinforcement that came from the gate are still fighting their way against the Axis other contingents to help the trapped Beacontown, British, and Italian troops

When we reached the top, we unhook ourselves and climbed to the Head. We pulled out our blades, ready to fight the enemy's commanders, but we didn't found anyone. The surrounding area is empty. Where did those bastards go? There's only one answer: they're inside this machine and there must be a door or a hatch or something like that

"Jesse, Search around if we can find any door or trapdoor. If they're not, they're must be inside" i told Jesse. He nodded as we started searching separately for any opening

We searched around for them around the top but we still didn't found anyone but we found something that might lead to where they are: a hatch. Exactly what i thought. They're definitely inside

"Hey Jesse!" i called who's inspecting a  symbol of the Axis Alliances. He turned his attention towards me "Over here! I found a hatch" i urged him to come to me. He walked to me and i gestured the hatch. Jesse inspected the hatch for a while and then he looked at me

"it's like a Trapdoor" Jesse commented

"Yes, but it's made from Steel and opened by using its crank" i told him. He nodded. Then he asked me again "Are you sure they're down there?"

"Yes, where else would they be? Playing around in the battlefield? No way" i said with a simple joke. We laughed slighty and then turned back serious again "Anyway, let's do this" i told him, Jesse nodded in agreement. I pulled out a wrech to open the hatch by pulling out all of its nails. After all of the nails are pulled out, i lifted up the hatch and throw it away. We looked down inside the hatch, there's ladders

"Well, there's a ladder. Let's go! And Keep ourselves low" i told Jesse as i used the ladder to get inside the machine. Jesse followed afterwards. When i reached down, it was dark, so i pulled out my Night Vision googles

"Man, it's so dark in here" Jesse said after he finally reached down "Good thing i brought a Night Vision potion" he said as he pulled out his potion and drank it. I noticed that his eyes turned from emerald green to dark blue after he finished drinking the potion

"Alright, that's handy" i complimented him "Now where are those bastards now" i whispered while we sneaked as quiet as we can and searched around for Karl and his fellow Axis Military commanders

We are now in some sort of a Engine Maintenance Room. There's three hallways that lead to different rooms. The first hallway leads to the Control Room, The second hallway leads to Armory Room, and The third Hallway leads to Meeting Room. The Maintenance Room are just filled with Machines and Engines that i believe are used to power up the Behemoth. Each machines and engines have German Iron Cross Logo with 'Krupp Ingenieurwesen'. That's the Jerries old military engineering company. I guess they're just like us, using our old military company like Vickers and Rolls-Royce Engineering. But off the topics! If i was a Ruthless and  a Pyscho Jerry, where would i be with my fellow leaders? I'm going to guess they're in the Meeting Room

But i know Karl is not someone who can be underestimated. He's a predator, a pyschopath, a maniac. He'll do whatever it takes to bring honor to the third Reich and the Fuhrer. Even if it means a total destruction, He'll do it for Germany. Germany and Britain should've been brother and sister, We shared the same religion, same origin, same struggle, and same language style. But all of it was thrown by Kaiser Wilhelm and Adolf Hitler himself. Karl is now the one who continued Wilhelm's and Hitler's path. I won't let him do that
