Adriel's pov
Get up
Get up!
I jumped up from my sleep soaked in sweat I needed to go right now, I haven't a clue where l needed to go l just know I needed be somewhere l got up and got dressed leaving the house without letting anyone know, it was almost midnight no one would be out by this time except for the guards.
I walked the streets of the pack ground its as if I was being drawned to somewhere, l heard a scream coming from a shed nearest to the woods and ran towards it hoping l wasn't too late
I opened the doors making sure to be as quiet as possible
There she was the girl I had seen in my visions, she was surrounded by three of the packs guards they had whips in their hands about to strike her
"We finally caught you huh? Little mut" they hadn't noticed my presence yet
"Yeah, we'll make you pay" a guy with dark skin said to the girl crying on the ground
"I-l I'm sorry sir, l was just hungry please"
"Well you need to pay for what you stole"
"what are you doing?" I said
they all looked up surprised to see me there
I don't go out much, people hardly even see me around the pack grounds so I could understand why they would be surprised
"um a-adriel l-l mean sir we're just letting this girl know her place in the pack" he stuttered out
I tilted my head to the side casting my gaze on her once more she was covered in dirt, she had on a big green shirt that was torn in the middle you could see her ribcage and a brown skirt that had many tiny holes in it
"by beating her?" l said calmly my face expressionless
"she tried to steal from us-"
"So you decided to whip a harmless girl who clearly from the looks of it hadn't eaten for days, tell me what else were you planning on doing to her" I asked
"W-we-"
"Get out" l cut them off
they immediately obeyed leaving me alone with her, l stalked closer my Hands reaching to remove the hair from her face
"Come with me" l turned around thinking she'd follow
"l-lm sorry l didn't mean to steal l was so hungry, I'm really sorry please don't punish me" she said tears filling her eyes
l spun back around to face her "I won't hurt you" l looked deeply into her eyes hoping she could see the truth in them
Slowly she got up hugging herself
I looked down on her feet and saw that she had on no shoes
I took mine off and gave it to her
"Thank you" she sniffed
I took her back to my house
My parents would be furious if they knew l took a complete stranger that l just met back to the alpha's house I must have gone mad, but l knew l needed to help her
"Are you hungry?" l asked as we entered the house
She nodded still looking a bit scared
"Come" I took her to my room so she could take a shower while l try getting her something to eat
I gave her one of the biggest shirts l had and showed her to the bathroom
"Get cleaned up I'll get something for you to eat" she nodded slowly still seeming a bit weary
I checked the time on my way back downstair it was almost 2 am meaning my parents will get up in 5 hours how will I even explain this to them
I made two sandwiches and poured a class of juice out for her waiting until she was finished showering
Slowly she came down the stares and entered the kitchen l pushed the plate towards her and she took up one of the sandwiches and took a tiny bit before completely digging in
I smiled looking at her for the first time she was so tiny
"What is your name" I asked
"Naya" she said with her mouth full
"Are you from this pack?"
She nodded drinking some the juice and started on the other sandwich
"How old are you?"
"14" she responded swallowing the last of her sandwich
"I'm adriel son of the alpha"
"I know" she replied
"What were you doing out at this time of night, where is your parents?" I asked
She sighed before answering "my parents died two years ago, well I don't know I just woke up one day and they weren't in the house, I've been on my own ever since"
She rested her head on the counter
"Are you sleepy?"
She nodded
"Let's go" I took her back to my room
"You can sleep here"I gestured towards my bed
"Is this your room" she asked and l nodded
"Where will you sleep?"
"I'll sleep in the coach over there" I pointed towards the corner
I took up a pillow and walked over towards the couch
"Why would you help a nobody like me? An omega" she asked
How would I answer that question I didn't even know the answer myself
"I was taking a walk when l heard you scream, I decided as the future alpha its my duty to help those in need"
"A walk at midnight"
"Yeah I couldn't sleep" l quickly answered l can't tell her I visioned her and then a voice woke me up in the middle of the night and l got up and ran like crazy not knowing where I was going.
"Thank you"
"Goodnight naya" l said feeling at peace now for some reason
