she's not going back

Naya's pov

I woke up in adriels bed once again
My whole body felt tired and beaten

My eyes wondered around searching for him he wasn't here I looked down on feet my wounds were bandaged

I got up limping towards the stair

"She's not going back there" I heard adriel say

"Okay, I wasn't suggesting that anyway" his mom sighed

"I have a friend who'd happily looked after her for me"

"In this pack" he asked

"Yes, in this pack"

I limped back to his bedroom and climbed back on his bed My back didn't feel as sore as it did Yesterday

"Are you awake" I jumped frightened at his voice

"Yeah, I'm awake" I looked up at him

"I didn't get to say thank you for that night you helped me and for today" I said looking down I tend to do that a lot when I'm nervous or scared

"Its okay"

"How did you find me?"

"I was on a hunt, with derek and james" he cleared his throat

"Thank you again for being there"

He nodded

"I overheard your mom saying she has a friend that's gonna take care of me"

He nodded again
Why does no one want me even my own parents didn't want me

"Tomorrow, for now you should get some sleep"
my tummy rumbled and l put my head down in embarrassment

He smiled getting up and leaving the room
Five minutes later he entered with a tray and put it before me

"Eat up" he said putting it beside me

"Thank you"

Adriels pov

I brought her back to my house mom wasn't home but as soon as she came back I'd talk to her about what happened

She was asleep carefully l resting her on my bed I tended to her wounds so they wouldn't get infected

After l finished l tucked her in and went downstairs waiting for my mom to come home as if on cue she opened the door and walked right in

"Mom naya's here" she looked confused

I explained everything that happened

"I cant believe her aunt would do something like that to her" my dad came home a few minutes later and joined in on the conversation

"Its not my pack territory so I'm afraid I cant do much about her aunt" dad said

"How did you know where to find her emrys, derek said one moment you were sitting peacefully in the back yard and the next you were sprinting towards the forest" my mom asked

"I had a feeling she was in danger" I didn't know what else to tell them

"its as if l was drawn to her" my mom looked over at my dad

"She's not going back there" I didn't mean it to sound the way it came out but I needed them to understand

"Okay" she sighed

"I have a friend who can take proper care of her"
I didn't like that either but for now l couldn't do anything about it

I didn't like going against my parents wishes

"She'll stay for tonight but you both can't sleep in one room, why didn't you let her stay in one of the spare room" my mom asked a hint of humor in her eyes

"I thought she'd be safer with me"

She shared another look with my dad and l wondered what that was about
