Naya's pov

I was running late to school, Patricia couldn't take me today she had things to do so l decided to take the bus

When l got there l was an hour late

great!

I ran to class

"Good morning miss Hendricks" I said going to my seat adriel wasn't in class today that's weird he's always at school
I couldn't focus much on what the teacher was saying my mind was on Him

Its odd that he wasn't here today ever since he started he had never missed a date

A thought popped in my mind
Me and Adriel McKellen almost kissed!
After we got back to his place l made sure we were never alone
I kinda got scared

But nothing can ever happen between us he'll become alpha soon and find his luna what will happen to me then?

I need to keep these silly feelings at bay.
I can't help it though whenever I see him there's this feeling in my stomach

Since adriel wasn't at school I decided to call him
Today was his birthday I texted him multiple times earlier but he didn't reply
His phone rang but there was no answer he'd never purposefully ignore my calls would he?

Lunch came around and l went to go sit down under the oak tree I didn't want anything to eat

I tried his phone again but there was still no answer, should l go over to his house? I don't have enough money though

I had asked Patricia if she could take me to the mall two days ago to get him a birthday present she even helped me out with cash.

l got him a nice watch I hope he'll like it

what if he doesn't? it isn't exactly an expensive gift I wish I could get him something better but with me also saving to pay him back for that dress its hard

I could ask patricia for her number

Am l crazy? Me calling the luna what a joke. My mind keeps finding ways to remind me I'm just an omega

"Hey there" someone said and l looked up "I'm garvey" a guy stood before me holding out his hand for me to shake
"I'm naya" I held out my hand

"Why are you out here all by yourself" he asked
"I just wanted some fresh air"

"May l join you" he asked I hesitate for a bit then nodded "I'm new here" he said

I looked at him closely he was a blonde guy, his hair was shoulder length

"Can we be friends" he asked and l nodded

I sniffed alpha alert he's an alpha's son

"So naya are you from around here?"

"Yeah, I live close to the school" l lied

The bell rang and l got up

"See you around garvey" l said before walking off

Its been a week since I saw or heard from adriel I tried calling him everyday but there wasn't no answer

Garvey started hanging out with me more, l didn't hate his company he was actually a nice guy

I was really starting to get worried about adriel

If he doesn't show up to school tomorrow I'm gonna use the money I saved to go over his house

"Douglas have you heard anything from adriel" l asked for the third time today

"Nah seems he has gone AWOL, l even went to his house but his dad said he wasn't feeling well"

"You went to his house, why didn't you tell me"

"I- I actually did not think it was necessary since I didn't see him"

Ever since adriel went AWOL the bullying started again but garvey would always help whenever he could

Maybe adriel was avoiding me

I got up and headed for my next class
Maybe its because we almost kissed and now he's avoiding me
It should have never happened maybe that's why he stopped coming to school and started ignoring me

I didn't look where l was going and collided into someone

Humph!

"Oh shit, naya are you okay" garvey helped me up

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" I said rubbing my butt

"Falling for me already" he joked and l made a horrified face and he chuckled

"Did you have lunch?"

"I wasn't really hungry"

"Let me take you somewhere to eat" he offered I didn't feel like going anywhere so l thought of the nicest possible way to decline

"I have to go home right after school" l lied

"Let me take you home"

I sighed I didn't have any more excuses he had always offered to bring me and l declined "okay, thank you"
