You're okay

Adriels pov

I bought naya a phone so we could keep in contact when she left

I have my own account with money l never use, my dad usually deposit money every month.
The last time l checked it there was millions there, my parents raised me to be a responsible person so they knew I'd use my money wisely

As soon as turned 16 I'll buy a car by then I'd have my license I was always interested in cars from a young age
I started learning very early in life

When my dad let me drive, l felt free as if l could go anywhere maybe that's why l loved cars so much the feeling it gave me was so unreal

Months passed and l haven't seen naya we kept in contact tho I would call and find out if she was okay and she was, my mom's friend was taking really good care of her I still wanted her close to me but it wasn't possible at the moment, she started public school two days ago.

I was getting an uneasy feeling all day that something was gonna happen I tried my best to ignore it

Flashes of her at school with her head down popped in my head she was sitting at her desk l got up pacing in my room something was wrong I tried to calm my thoughts I layed down on my bed "everything's okay" l told myself but deep down l knew it wasn't

The phone was ringing off the hook l got up and went downstairs to answer but my mom beat me to it

"Hello" my mom answered

"Oh Patricia" My mom smiled but it faded immediately

She hung up

"We need to go" she told me
"What's wrong l asked"

"Its naya something's wrong with her my friend Patricia is at her school, we need to go there now"

We arrived there in 20 minutes  me and mom got out a woman was there greeting us

"Where is she asked"

"Inside but-"

I didn't listen l just went inside
There were so many student in the hall way I pushed through looking for her
There at the end of the hall students were huddled looking inside

"Okay everybody back to class" a bald head man came towards us

They all seemed to listen and soon enough the hallways were empty

"Luna" he greeted "hello this is my son adriel" she said and l gave him a nod

I nodded "where's naya" l got straight to the point

"Oh yes right this way" he led us to a room with a few teachers inside

My eyes caught her rocking back and forth in the corner

A female who seems to be a teacher tried to touch her and she screamed l was about to go towards her but the man we met earlier stopped me "she's been like this ever since she got back from lunch, no one has been able to go near she would scream and kick if we tried" I looked down on his hand on my shoulder and he quickly took it off

"Naya" l called softly getting closer "it's okay naya I'm here" I got closer "you're okay" I touched her slowly sitting down beside her

I pulled her on my lap rocking her back and forth "you're okay" l repeated

I looked up and saw that everyone was looking at us "how do they know each other?" someone asked "He's her friend?" my mom said sounding a bit unsure

"Adriel" she looked up her eyes filled with tears
It felt as my heart was being ripped out of my chest  seeing her like this my anger was starting to flare up

"What happened" I whispered dangerously low

"S-she was having problems with some other students here and I-l don't know she was like this after we came back from lunch"

"I'm starting this school next semester" I said not looking up at any of them

I slowly got up with her in my arms I walked out. The hallways were deserted which made it easier for me to move around with her

Mom drove us home I insisted she stayed with me until the next semester which starts in a couple weeks

She still insisted on letting her go back to Patricia's house

But when she saw how persistent l was she didn't argue back
