Chapter 11: Another Fire

Zander’s pov

Alex moved a lot in his sleep pulling himself closer to me not that I am complaining I held him close kissing his head, he let out a yell in his sleep worried I tried to wake him up, “Alex babe wake up its me it’s Zander “I say Alex slowly comes around and climbs into my lap crying holding on to me.  Holding him and rocking him I rub his back I wasn’t going to tell him everything was going to be okay because I didn’t know what was wrong and I didn’t want to lie to him. When Alex finally clams down I pull him back looking into his eye wiping his tears away “Alex what happen talk to me I am here for you “I say gently he looks at me for a long period of time before nodding and starts to tell me.

“ Well that dream I told you that I have been having, where my mom tries to tell me something and how my last dream it was like something was holding her back from telling me what she wanted to tell me. So last night she told me it looked like it caused her pain to break through whatever was holding her back but she finally told me, her death wasn’t an accident that my father must have had guessed that she was planning on leaving him and taking me with her that he messed with the main break and the steering wheel so the more she used the breaks the more it messed with the steering. When she used them both at the same time to avoid being hit by the drunk driver the breaks and the steering went out, the car flipped I was tossed from the car and it went up in flames killing my mom and I guess when he heard I was alive he went out to look for me my mom said “he’s back and he’s looking for you he will tell you he changed but Alex my son he didn’t change he wants to hurt you don’t let him get close to you don’t trust him” she told me this and then I woke up and I’m scared of he will do if he finds me. By the time Alex was done telling me that he was shaking badly and crying I pulled him close “I will protect you I will keep you safe he won’t be able to hurt you I won’t allow him to, I promise I will do all in my power to keep you safe’’ I say to him getting him to relax a little I kiss his head, “what do you want to eat ill make us something then we can go talk to Kelly and see what she thinks should be done.”

*20 minutes later*

We had finished eating and Alex was showering I cleaned up and bit more and got dressed and decided that I should have Alice met us at Kelly’s for support.

“Alice, can you meet me and Alex at Kelly’s in about an hour” – Zander

After I sent the message I remembered she wouldn’t be back till tomorrow hitting myself in the head calling myself dumb I can’t believe I forgot and I don’t want to worry her while she with her birth mom but on the other hand I know she would have killed me if I didn’t tell her if something was happening with Alex so it’s safer on my end to tell her. “I can’t I’m not home yet, is everything okay? Is Alex okay?” –Alice

Reading her text message I think of the best way to answer her finally settling on how I am going to answer her I type “ Alex has been having dreams where his mom has been trying to tell him something and well this morning he woke up crying and shaking. So I held him and comforted him telling him I am here for him then he told me that his mom finally was able to tell him she told him about the night she died and how it wasn’t just an accident his dad cut the steering and break line and when both the break and the steering were used at the same time it gave out and the car flipped throwing Alex from the car and causing his mom to die when the car went up in flames. And his dad is back and is looking for Alex is going to tell him he changed and try and gt close to him and Alex is really scared I will protect him till you get home. –Zander

After I sent it I heard the bathroom door opens and out came Alex cleaned and dressed, “Zander where is the hair dryer?” he ask I giggle looking at his wet hair “in the top draw in the bedroom baby” I tell him and wait on him to finish and check the weather for the walk to the car. It’s not too cold yet.

*five minutes later*

Alex and I are walking towards the car hand and hand my phone went off pulling it out of my pocket seeing it’s a text from Alice

“We will be on the next plane out today so I’ll be back in town at 4 and ill met you at Kelly’s house keep him safe till I get there making sure he’s okay don’t let anyone near him. –Alice

I promise her I will guard him with my life, we drove to Kelly’s when we pulled up there were cops everywhere when the I pulled the car to a complete stopped Alex jumped out me on his heals the sight was crazy the house was half burned glass was broken blood on the grass in front of the house Alex was shaking I hold him tight and ask the cops what happen all they tell me is “the house went up in flames from what we gathered the fire started from the basement the woman was badly stabbed 10 times and burned she’s in harsh condition we won’t know anything more till she is taken in to the er.” Alex holds on tighter to me crying the cop then asks “do you know the woman who her family may be?’’ I answered him with a nod to Alex “this is Alex that was his mom’s best friend Kelly she took him in when he was 3 after his mother was killed in an accident.”

“I think you guys should meet us at the er so we can get some information on Kelly “the man said I nodded and helped Alex to the car and drove behind the cop following him to the er.

 sorry it took so long things have been crazy with school and dad being sick but i will also have chapter 12 up tonihgt too another thing i think i wll only make this book go up to chapter 20 then i will start a book two with the same people it will be a small series let me know what you guys think about that.
