Y/N POV

When I woke up I had gotten an email for a job interview! Since Nathan lives at the community centre I showed up late so that I only had enough time to change. After Sally said to do the same as yesterday Nathan started walking towards me so I quickly took off, Kelly following behind. "You seem mad, what happened?" "Nathan ditched me at his mom's." I replied dryly. "Well, looks like I'm pushin someone off the roof" she smirked. Just than two old men walked over and asked us to dance, both of us excepting. After a few seconds I quickly realized that the old man was getting closer to Nathan. "Sorry sir, but I really don't want to see him." I whispered to the man. "He begged me for 10 minutes, whatever he did I'm sure he regrets it." he whispered back as we were now next to Nathan.

Nathan's POV

Awwwww shit! Y/N noticed! At least she's not tryin to make a run for it. The hell are they talkin about?! As the song ended I grabbed her hand and pulled her into the chair next to me before she could walk away. "Y/N i'm so sorry. That was the first time my mom hit me and I was in shock. I didn't mean to leave --" I began, Y/N interruptin me. "I'm not going to forgive you, but I'll still talk to you. And your mom asked me to come over again." " Really? You'll still put up with me?? And WHAT?" I asked confused. "Of course I will, and after you left I bonded a little with your mom. She helped me land a job interview." "That's great! It's hard gettin a job when you have community service." I replied, makin a mental note to thank her later. "So, you mad at me?" I asked, scared of her answer. "Yes. I want to punch you, but who doesn't?" "You've got a point--" AHHHHH SHIT! IT'S RUTH!!!! I quickly ran outside, makin another note to apologize to Y/N again. 

Y/N POV

A couple songs later the oldies had left. We slowly got changed and started picking up trash. Didn't take long for everyone to spot Nathan, this'll be fun. "What happened to you?" "I will not be in the same room where that song is playin. Line in the sand my friend." Kelly then glanced at me for a second, "Some old women was lookin for you.... You shagged her?!" "Yeah, yeah, nice one! I gave her a right good seedin to!" "You totally screwed her!" and with that last comment I stormed off. I already knew but now that I'm actually hearing it?! WHY DOES THIS BUG ME SO MUCH?! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! Nathan started calling me, few feet behind. I shoved my earbuds in and used my power to get onto the roof of the nearest building. I started crying, not sure why. After a few minutes I used my power to get me to the community centre. I told Sally that I was harassed by a drunk and she let me go home. I finished changing as soon as Nathan ran in. I slammed my locker and used my power to get him to move. Luckily no one else was here so I quickly got out and just ran. 

When I got home I slammed the door and closed all the curtains, not having the energy to go upstairs. I pulled out my earbuds as I stopped crying and just sat on the couch, empty. My phone buzzed but before I could look at it  I heard a series of knocks on my door. I got up and looked through the peephole, Nathan. "Go away!" I shouted, still empty. "Y/N please let me in! Let me explain!" I swung the door open "You ditched me so you could be with her! I wouldn't of tagged along if I knew you'd just leave!" I yelled, about to slam the door when Nathan stopped it with his foot. "She looked young when we meet-" "YOU STILL LEFT ME FOR HER!" I ran to my room, locking the door behind me. "Y/N i'm sorry!" he yelled, leaning against the door. "Please, I can't lose you too" he wailed through the door. "Just leave! If not i'll fucking make you!" I shouted back, tempted to kick the door. Shortly after I hear a sigh and footsteps fading. I unlock the door, and peeked out. 

Nathan's POV

As soon as I heard a click I stopped pretendin and hid in the room across from the one she's in. I took a shaky breath, and made a run for it as soon as I saw her door open. I couldn't even see her face and she looked awful. I didn't know what to say. There was nothin I COULD say. I hugged her as closely as I could and just kept sayin "I'm sorry" over and over before I felt her hug back. We stayed that way, not sayin anythin for what felt like hours, my head on hers. It wasn't until she let out a little "I forgive you." that I felt somethin tighten in my chest. Why'd she even agree to go with me?! I'm a dick!"You want to grab some ice cream? Kelly told me how much you like it~" I mumbled into her hair, somewhat tryin to be normal. "Yeah, okay" she chuckled, untanglin herself from my grasp. I only than realized that I was still in my jumpsuit. "I'mma go change real quick, what do I tell the others?" "That your a prick with ice cream" she joked, her hair messy from our hug. "Be back in 15!" I hollered, runnin all the way to the community centre. "Where have you been?!" Sally asked stormin over, "Makin sure Y/N was okay." For some reason all she did was nod and walk off. I quickly changed, got my wallet, and ran back to Y/N's house.

Y/N POV

After he left I used some eye drops to get rid of the redness and put on my boots. I brushed my hair too since it looked like a bird's nest. When I grabbed my phone I saw a message from Kelly, "I gave Nathan your address, he looks like shit. Must really care about you :)" I walked toward the stairs just as he knocked on the door. Before I even got half way down he let himself in, quickly going to my side and leading me the rest of the way. "I was wonderin if you'd be okay with checkin on Ruth" he asked, biting his bottom lip. "As long as I get ice cream" I kid around, sticking my tongue out. I locked the door and let Nathan guide me since I haven't explored the area. "What ice cream did you want?" "I want *favorite ice cream*" "Really? I would've taken you for a *any other ice cream flavor* kinda gal" he hummed, turning a corner. "What else do you like?" "I used to draw a lot but someone would always shit on it so I stopped." I answered, looking down. Nathan put his hand under my chin, making me look up. He looked kinda pissed. "They were just jealous, and i'm sure you're amazin! Just like I know you're good at singin!" "You've never heard me si--" "Don't need to" he finished, letting go of my chin. "Thank you" I practically mumbled, slightly blushing. "We're here" he chimed, changing the mood. I sat down as he got our ice cream, wondering why he hasn't made a rude joke yet. "Two scoops for thy lady!" he shouted, handing me a cone. We then went to Ruth's house, neither of us really saying anything on the way there.

Nathan's POV

When we got there she wouldn't answer so I let us in. Y/N decided to wait for me outside, hopefully she's not uncomfortable. Once I located Ruth I couldn't help but look through her picture book. What if my mom ends up like this? I put it back and kissed her head before makin my way back to Y/N. "Is it alright if we see my mom?" "Yeah, besides I told her I'd see her again" she smiled. "Whip that look off your face, you'll scare the kids!" I shouted, hearin a chuckle behind me. We finished our ice cream by the time we got there, and walked through the backyard gate. I hid behind a blanket while Y/N stood by the slidin door. After I gave her a little spook I willed myself to talk, "So, I suppose you're gonna tell me you love him?" She nodded, "But it doesn't change how I feel about you. I'm so sorry I hit you." "I punched the guy you live with--ur I can't call him your boyfriend or you partner! It's too pathetic." "You can call him dad if you like" "Ohhhh that's funny." "Been worried about you. Where you livin?" The words slipped out before I could stop them, "I was thinkin about skin Y/N if I could move in with her" I noodded in her direction. "She's sweet Nathan, don't mess this up. I look forward to you introducin her as my daughter in law." she smirked, givin me a hug. I made my way to Y/N just as Jeremy walked out, "If you ever hurt her, I'll take you to the vets and have you put down" I sassed. I walked through the house this time, Y/N snatchin a bag of crisps off the table on you way out. 

Y/N POV

"So you're the one who's been living in the community centre" I teased, opening the bag I stole. "How are you so sure it was me?" He slowed down a little to match my pace, "I heard what your mom said, and yes, you can move in." "Really?? After I has such a dick??" "I forgave you didn't I" I hummed back, shoving a crisp in his mouth. "There's a spare room you can stay in, we can get your stuff now." He began smiling like a dork and doing some weird jazz-hands dance before tossing me over his shoulder. "I prefer piggy back rides!" He quickly put me down and got me on his back, running to the community centre. When we got there I started gathering his clothes, while he walked over to the vending machine >:). "What the hell?! EVERYTHIN'S GONE! I NEED WATER!" I smirked, taking joy in this unplanned revenge. Once we were done, it was so dark outside we had to use torches to find our way back to my--our place. I showed him to his room, finished the crisps, and knocked out on the floor, too lazy to get on my bed.
