Chapter eight

My eyes flutter open , looking around my room and realizing it's time to wake up, I rub my eyes and let a yawn leave my mouth. I was still tired and yearning to continue sleeping , but my eyes fly straight open when I remember Emmas picking me up today , excitement runs through my body and I get ready , a casual dress and regular shoes. I spray some perfume, knowing Emma will like it. Once I finish getting ready I pulled out my phone texting Emma

Hey em, I'm up and ready , are you free to come now ?

Yeah I'm omw, is Henry there ?

No, we're going to have to go get him , he stayed the night at belles

Alright , I'll be there soon

I grin at my phone and wait for emmas arrival , I haven't been to an arcade in so long , if I've even been. I was never the type to enjoy places like that, however I know I'm going to enjoy this. Soon the bell rings and the blonds beautiful face shined at me , I blushed at her presence and how gorgeous she is

"Hey" the blond nervously scratches her neck and smiles at me

"Hey ." I shut the door and lock it , heading to emmas yellow bug , the only thing I don't like about this woman is her car, but she seems to drive me to belles pretty good. When we arrived at the small blue house , the both of us hop out of the car and knock on the door, we're welcomed with a big smile from the brunette, her blue eyes were sparkling

"Regina!" She smiles at me but her eyes move when she sees the blond for

"Oh I'm sorry we must not have met" she holds her hand out for Emma and they talk for a little bit before I continue inside, seeing my baby boy sitting on the couch playing with the dog , belle had this brown curly dog that all the kids play with.

"Hey henry" I smile at the boy who looks up at me

"Hey moms" he gets up and gives the blond a hug , making my face scrunch at his choice " what are both of you doing here together?"

"Well, we decided to go on a family fun day, at the arcade !" I exclaim and his fade lights up

"Really ?? That sounds like so much fun !"

"Yes kid ! It does, now come on before it gets too late" Emma tells him and he immediately obeys , getting in the car with us

"So what did you do with belle?"

"We just played checkers and went to the park with billy" billy was the name of belles dog

"Aww that sounds fun" I smile at my son, his face was filled with excitement

"Are you excited kid?" Emma asks

"Yes , I'm really excited" Emma Chuckles softly

"Have you ever been to the arcade ?" She curiously questions and I just watch their interaction.

"Well.. no" his eyes look up at me, I know he's disappointed in me I haven't really showed him a fun time or really ever played with him , but I just hope when he gets older he'll understand that , everything I do is for him. The rest of the car ride was a few words every now and then, before I knew it we were parked at the arcade.

I get out of the car and hold Henry's hand as we walk, Emma stands on the other side of Henry, holding his other one , and this is when I really feel like a family, like we're meant to bond. All of a sudden I get nervous when my vision is flooded with colorful lights, everyone was jumping around and playing games . I give Emma a look that tells her I don't know where to start and she flashes a nod at me before pulling her wallet out

"Here kid , let's go get some coins so we can play" she hands him a 20 and turns to me handing me a bill as well

"What's this for?" My face scrunches at the 20$

"It's to get coins silly" she laughs at me before leading us both to the coin machine, she helps henry put his money and puts all of his coins in the cup "your turn regina" she tells me

"Emma.. you don't have to" I assure her while she takes the 20 from me and puts it into the machine

"Regina , lighten up a bit, we're having fun" she hands me the cup of coins and I roll my eyes

"Okay guys , what game should we try out first ?" Emma hums while exchanging looks between Henry and I

"Let's go to that one!" Henry points to a motorcycle game and I chuckle following them to it, I watch as the blond gets one on motorcycle and Henry on the other .

"Come on mom" my son pats the seat next to him and I get on

"Alright it says it cost 2 coins" Emma tells us and pushes two coins in the slot, I watch her and Henry before slipping my two coins in . All of a sudden I feel a bump in the seat , then another , before I know it the seat has me riding it like I'm trying to stay on a horse, I yelp looking at the screen in front of me and try to steady myself, following the road like I should , I did not enjoy how this had me flying off my seat , I felt like I was on the verge of game death .

Once the game is over I see Emma flash me a smirk . Is she really smirking like this is a joke ?? I almost had a hard attack on that thing . Henry was clapping his hands

"Again again !" Henry looks at Emma

"Henry, why don't we try a different game , there's so many here that you'll like" she suggests and henry shrugs it off, followed by a nod.

I watch the kid get up and lead us around to find the game that he wants. After an hour of games and getting tickets, Henry has the most, and I have the least . "I don't know how to play" I give up

"Having a hard time ?" She was practically taking amusement to my suffering

"What does it look like miss swan" I growl in anger, I've been working on this one game for 20 minutes, its spinning a wheel

"Let me help , maybe I have magic touch" she chuckles and before I know it her hand is on mine, she helps me spin the wheel hard and Henry was watching us intently
