Kim Sunwoo's POV

Unbeknownst to Jihyo, I brought her out of the campus, to my lair. It was a simple tree house, and a hundred meters perpendicular to our campus.

"Do you live here?" She asked while fiddling the hem of her shirt.

I playfully flicked her forehead, earning a soft groan from her.

"It's just my hideout. I don't live here." I said as a matter of fact.

However, she found my words injected with sarcasm.

"Stop being sarcastic." She hissed.

"I'm not!" I defended myself.

She sighed and roamed her eyes around the tree house.

"Nice place." She commented, then sat on the couch comfortably, even closing her eyes.

"Thanks." I answered as I took off my blazer.

"Oh god! I left my bag at school." She suddenly stood up.

I chuckled.

"What's so important in your bag?" I asked, eyes focused on her.

She suddenly groped her pocket, sighing afterwards.

"Nothing. I brought my phone anyway." She smiled sheepishly.

She sat on my couch again and looked at me.

"W-What?" I stuttered.

She laughed.

"Why did you bring me here?" She asked.

Honestly, I don't know why I did. I just felt the urge to.

I just shrugged my shoulders and stood near the window.

Quietly observing the scenery across my tree house, my eyes suddenly focused on our campus.

Someone's observing us from afar.

I secretly enhanced my eyesight, pupils busy searching.

Until it led me to someone.

I immediately averted my gaze to Jihyo who noticed the changes in my eyes.

She gulped hard, scared of my physique.

My eyes turned dark yellow, pupils slimmer than usual. This always happens when I try to amplify one of my senses.

Looking through my peripheral, I noticed that the person who was observing us was gone.

Sure that someone is a werewolf.

"I'm sorry if I scared you." I flashed an apologetic look.

My eyes went back to normal. On the other hand, Jihyo was still shocked, almost holding her breath. Later she heaved a deep sigh.

"Y-You're really... a werewolf?" The only words she muttered.

I wore my blazer and held her hand.

"I already told you what I am. Still, it's up to you if you'll believe me." I answered as I pulled her down the tree house carefully.

"Why are you in a rush?" She asked, confused.

"Let's go back to school." I simply said.

"Oh, I thought we're completely ditching the class." She snickered.

I stopped walking, having her bump my back. I turned around and playfully pinched her cheek using my free hand.

"Ouch." She reacted.

"We're graduating. We need to take everything seriously." I said, although I have something different in my mind.

I need to find the uninvited observer.

We arrived at school exactly before our second class. Good thing that Jihyo was from a different block, I can ditch my class and start searching.

I was about to leave Jihyo when she stopped me.

"What?" I asked, mischievously grinning.

She looked down in embarrassment.

"I just want you to know that... I believe you now, but I still have many questions." She confessed.

I leaned down, my face leveled on hers. Then, I pinched her cheeks.

"Don't worry too much. I'll answer them once the right time comes. For now, focus on your class." I said.

She pouted.

"Gross." I reacted.

"You are such a jerk, Sunwoo." She scowled.

She turned around and marched to her class. I just shook my head while looking at Jihyo.

We've known each other for years, although I cannot say we are really close, I think what happened that night was a blessing in disguise for me to know her even more.

I instantly marched my way out of the hallway and started searching.
