Words on a page bring to life a sentence that begins to grow and have a life of its own. There is permanence in the written word that cannot be erased. It can change the course of history; it has the power to inspire millions, and with that power comes its ability to impact young impressionable minds. Stories encourage us to use our imagination and paint pictures in our minds using words on paper as a guide into the journey the author wishes to take us upon. How can one possibly be bored or lonely when you have an excellent book to read?
