Once I was showered and dressed, me and Charlie made our way through the castle towards my father's study. We had decided to go and visit him and find out his reason behind hiding my brother from me. We had already spent hours with each other and it was hard to even separate us from each other for long. As we walked down the long corridors, accompanied by Jane and Alec, Jane's sister, we had met a few moments ago, we conversed about the things we liked and how he would beat up Caius if he ever hurt me.

"I doubt that he would even try, but its the thought that counts!" I chuckled for a second before I started to think about if he did. What would I do if he broke my heart, if he cheated on me...my heart hurts even thinking about it. I guess Charlie noticed my slight change in mood as he placed his arm over my shoulder and rubbed my arm. I smiled up at him and then we continued on our way. We were about half there when Jane rushes up to my side.

"Harley! We have a slight problem!"

"What do you mean, slight?" She gave me a half smile before pointing behind us. Charlie turned around before I could and he froze in his spot. Once, I saw what he was looking at my gaze became a glare as our father stood at the end of the hallway. "Thank you Jane. You can go to your brother!" I told her without my eyes leaving his. His face turned from one of shock to one of pain. His eyes were searching mine before they turned to Charlie. His eyes filled with venom as he continued to stare at his son.

"Hey, Dad." The words slipped out of his mouth slowly as he made his way closer to the man in question. I followed Charlie closely, so that I could help him if he needed me.

"My son." My fathers whispers floated down the long hallway towards the doors. "I-I-I can't begin to-"

"Stop!" Charlie's hand flew up and his eyes closed in one fluid motion. "You locked me in a prison cell, for centuries upon centuries and didn't even think to tell my own sister that I was real and alive! She didn't even know I existed until a few days ago!" His yells echoed around the castle and every vampire within and around the castle herd his cries. "I hoped and prayed for you to come down and release me from my hell! But whenever that door opened, it was just another minion you had sent in your stead. All you wanted was your family, but I am your family! Why?! Why, Dad?" My fathers eyes filled once more and mine were wishing to overflow, but I could see the pain in my brothers eyes and that was what hurt me the most.

"Everyday, I wanted to come down and see you! Everyday, I wanted to sit there and talk to you and apologize, but I felt as though you would hate me and I couldn't bare to see the pain that I had caused you. But I am here now and I am truly and deeply sorry, my son! I love you both more then you know and I do everything I do for you!"  I smirked and then placed my hand in my brothers. I squeezed his hand and he looked at me with a smile on his face. I nodded my head before we turned to our father.

"You have no idea how much we missed you, father!" We raced to his side and hugged him extra tight as we dry-sobbed into his shoulder. "I love you, Papa" I whispered into his ear as he placed kisses on my head and rubbed my brothers back.

"I love you both, so much! I am so sorry for everything I put you two through and I will do my best to change and love you!" I smiled at my little family and wished that we could stay in this moment forever, but I know that our lives can only get better from here. Life will have its bumps but it is all uphill from here.
