Chapter 2: training and the exam

The next ten months were gruelling to say the very least. (Y/n) would watch and help Midoriya train nearly all day everyday even in class. She even ended up having to help him study because he was getting too tired to do it and often fell asleep after training. The girl knew how intense this training was, he joined him often in doing the workouts but she found that they simply didn't work for her as well as it did for him. But she loved watching him clear the beach. Him trying to push the car on his own was her favourite part. However one day three months before the exam while running, he collapsed.

This greatly concerned All Might and (y/n). "Hey, hey, what's wrong? Only three more months!!! You're not going to make it!" All might tried to shout but ended up spluttering everywhere. The girl however noticed how exhausted and broken his muscles seemed to be.

"Izuku, do you want to take a break? Or stop for today?" She asked him kindly. She heard All Might ramble a little before he spoke loudly again.

"But you haven't stuck to the plan! Overdoing it's no good either! Don't you want to pass?!" He asks the almost crippled boy on the ground who only wheezes and moves a little.

"But I don't wanna just pass! I have to work harder than anyone else! Other wise I'll never catch up! I want to be like you... LIKE YOU. THE STRONGEST HERO!" The greenette boy currently kissing the dirt says with determination and strength. This made the girl smile proudly despite her concern for the poor broccoli boy she called her best friend.

"THATS WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR!" All Might says in his hero form. "LET THIS OLD MAN MODIFY THE PLAN FOR YOU!" You frown at what the man calls himself.

"Uh, Toshi? You're not old."

But after that day, for the last three months of the training it was even more intense than the previous seven. But on the morning of the exam. Both the (h/c) haired girl and the worn down number one hero couldn't help but stare slack jawed in awe at the sight they saw.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" You heard a triumphant yell rip across the otherwise silent beach. But as the girl saw Midoriya start to fall she used her air quirk to push her forward as she ran to catch him. And she did successfully. She settled him down and then for some reason saw a really wimpy picture of the poor boy ten months ago. But now? Well... let's just say that he looked more than ready to accept the new power. But he also looked good enough to make his best friend blush a bit more than she'd of cared to ever admit to anyone. She may not have liked him in that way, but that didn't mean that she couldn't appreciate hard work when she saw it.

As she focused again on what was being said all she heard was

"EAT THIS!"

...

"Duh?"

The girl couldn't help but burst out laughing uncontrollably at the scene unfolding before her.

(Y/n) POV

We were now both standing outside of UA ready to take whatever was thrown at us.
But of course Bakuhoe has to fucking mess shit up as usual. "Get out of my way or you're dead." He said obviously aimed at izuku. God did I hope he got into the hero course just so that I can knock him on his ass repeatedly. As he was walking away I made a wisp of wind slightly more compact so that i could use it as a whip, and I whipped the back of Bakuhoes head. Did he turn around and yell at me? Yes. Did he chance me around UA until we ended up in the announcement hall? Yes. Was it worth it? FUCK YEAH!

I sat myself on the left side of Izuku who had apparently sat next to the boy who was just chasing me for whipping his head. Should of been his ass really and truly but oh well. I already knew the process of what was going to happen. Uncle Hiza was an idiot the other night and was yelling about it to Shota in the living room so I already know the process and everything. So I didn't really listen to much of what Hiza was saying. Although I did over hear Bakugou's conversation with Izuku. So I won't be in the same testing ground as either of them. Perfect. They won't know the true potential of my quirk then. Surprisingly enough neither of them ever asked the whole way through school. They only ever saw extremely small parts of my quirk, I didn't really use it much outside of training other than discrete little things and if course getting back at Bakugou for being an asshole.
