Thor had already lost so much when thanos came. He had killed his brother right in front of his eyes but what he didn't realize is that he had lost so much more.
You weren't on wakanda when Thor was, you were on titan with your brother, tony, Peter, Strange and the guardians. You were also able to witness everyone disappearing, including yourself.
Just after peter disappeared, your whole body felt weird. Like, it hurt. You tried to call out to your brother but no words left your mouth. You looked down at your hand and saw it was disintegrating, just like Peters had a few seconds ago. Tony had seemed to look over at you and tried to grab your hand, your shoulder, something to hug you and tell you you're gonna be ok but as soon as he touched you, the rest of you turned into ash.
Tony looked down at his hands as he saw all that left of you. He fell down on the ground and cried. He had just lost his little sister, the girl he promised his parents he would protect.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After carol had brought him and nebula back down to earth, Thor was out in the landing, looking, hoping you didn't suffer the same fate as half of the universe. He wasn't a mind reader but when he saw just tony and nebula emerge from the ship, he guessed what happened to you.
Carol and them had found out that thanos had used the stones again and planned their attack.
Carol strikes first. She flew into the cottage and wrapped him in a headlock while everyone else came in.
He explained that everything happens for a reason and that he used the stones one last time to destroy them so they couldn't undo what he had done.
Thor, in a fit of anger, took stormbreaker and sliced his head clean off his body, letting it fall down to the ground.
Everyone was dumbfounded and Thor just explained, "what? I went for the head."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thor had been in new Asgard when rocket and Bruce came with the idea of going back in time to get the stones then undoing what thanos had done and returning them.
Thor didn't want to at first and got rid of noobmaster69 for korg then he remembered the last conversation he had with you, during age of ultron.
"Stay safe, mr thunder." He leaned down and put his face against yours
"I'm always safe." Tony then gagged and said we had to get going so Thor left and that was the last time he ever saw you alive again
Thor then turned around and looked at rocket and Bruce. "I'll do it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After they had all gotten their respective stones, and mourned the death of Natasha, they put the stones in the iron gauntlet. Thor tried to snap but Bruce wouldn't let so he watched as Bruce snapped. It had obviously taken a toll on him. But a few seconds later, clint's phone rang and it was his wife. Just then, the compound blew up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After Thor and Steve had taken their turns beating up thanos with mjolnir and stormbreaker, Steve's com came on and sams voice came through. The three of them watched as portals opened to reveal everyone that was snapped away and even some new help.
Steve uttered the words 'avengers assemble' and everyone attacked.
Wanda had gone after thanos and was winning until he called on his ship, that would've killed all of them, but carol destroyed it in a few seconds
Carol hen tried to bring the gauntlet and return the stones but thanos destroyed the van. He then went head to head with her.
Thor was fighting some of thanos' army but didn't see the one coming up behind him. Luckily, it was blasted away.
He turned around to see who blasted it, expecting tony or pepper or even carol but he saw someone he didn't expect to see.
You landed and flipped up your face plate. You smiled at him. He smiled back and ran to you, engulfing you in a hug.
"Ok, point break, you're suffocating me." He let go and apologized. He looked at you and realized you hadn't changed a bit. He then remembered that he didn't look the same. He tried to turn away from you but you stopped him.
"Woah, what's with the sudden cold shoulder?" You tried to look in his eyes but he avoided eye contact.
"You look the same, maybe even prettier but i don't." You laughed. "That's what's that about? Look, i could care less what you look like. I missed you and now I have you back. You're still the same Thor, that's all that matters." You kissed him before your com beeped.
"Look, it's nice you guys are rekindling, kinda mad you didn't come say 'hi' to your brother first but we're fighting right now." Tony's snarky voice came through.
You rolled your eyes and you two ran to join the battle again
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After tony and snapped and peter had talked to him, pepper walked over and tried. He muttered her name and she shot you a look. You ran over and knelt by him
"Hey, snarky ass. You did great. I'm proud of you. It's ok." He grabbed your hand, like he was holding on with the rest of his life. "It's ok, let me go. Rest." He smiled and closed his eyes. You started bawling and pepper pulled you into a hug, rubbing your back while she was also crying.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At his funeral, you stood next to pepper as she gave you a smile then a hug. After, you walked over to happy and saw him talking to little girl who you could've spotted from a crowd.
You looked at him and he shook his head yes. You walked over and slowly knelt down. "Hi, my name is Y/n, what's yours?" She hid her face but looked at you for a while then gave a small smile. "Morgan." She said softly.
You smiled. "Hi Morgan. I'm your aunt." You held your hand out and she shook it shyly. You sat next to her as happy walked inside the house. "You know, me and your dad's favorite food growing up was cheeseburgers. Do you like them?" She smiled and shook her head yes. "Well, how about we go get some? On me." She smiled as you held out your hand and took it. You sure are gonna miss your brother but at least you still have a peace of him left. You looked over at Thor and he walked over. "Morgan, this is Thor, he's a friend of your mom. He's also my boyfriend but don't tell him because he thinks I have cooties." She giggled. Thor laughed and you turned your attention back to him. "We were just going to get burgers. Would you like to join us?" Thor smiled. "I would love to, miss Stark and miss Stark." You told pepper and the three of you went to go get burgers
You were happy to be back but you were always gonna miss your big brother but at least you had a family to come home to again and at least you could be with your love again.
