warning: talk of injuries, spoilers for ragnorak (if you haven't seen it, what have you been doing), protective! thor, tiny bit of angst, mostly fluff
summary: thor has always had secret feelings for you. when his sister takes over asgard, he's worried that you had gotten caught by his sister. he goes back to asgard and fights his sister and when she starts talking about you, it sends him over the edge. when you two finally reunite, he confesses his feelings
~~~~~ Thor had always been one to express how he was feeling very vocally. He would yell about not having pop tarts or something he didn't really need to yell about.
However, the one thing he wasn't vocal about was his feelings for you.
You two had grown up together. Frigga and your mother had been best friends, so, there was a lot of childhood 'best friend turned to lovers' things going on.
~~~~ As you guys grew older, his feelings grew. He would try to distract himself by trying to see other girls but it never worked. He thought it had managed to work with jane but you grew more distant to him while they were dating. It hurt him. He didn't know that you shared his feelings and seeing him with a whole bunch of different girls every couple of years or so, hurt you. You wish you could just tell him how you felt.
~~~~ Thor would go to midgard for a few weeks or whatever to visit his friends. After, he would immediately come back.
So when he heard about hela taking over asgard through heimdall, he was very worried about you and the rest of the asgardians.
~~~~ After a few detours, he finally arrived at asgard again. He was at first, looking for you. That's all he was doing. He would ask around and ask anyone if they had seen you and the answer was always no.
~~~~~ He eventually confronted hela and started to fight her, his mind still clouded with worry. "What's wrong, Brother? Someone on your mind? A certain warrior girl? I think i may have saw her earlier. You should've seen the look in her eyes as i impaled her." She smirked as she finished her sentence. He growled and tackled her.
~~~~ They fought for a while until loki had released ragnorak and destroyed asgard.
They had all found refuge in new asgard. When they first got there, he saw you talking with valkyrie. He let out a huge breath and walked over to you. "Y/n." He picked you up and engulfed you in a hug. "Thor.....i can't....breathe.." you said. He laughed and set you down. "Sorry..." You laughed and brushed yourself off. "It's fine." You smiled at him. He smiled and sighed. "i was worried about you during the battle. I was afraid that you didn't survive. I wouldn't know what i would've done if you didn't." You smirked at him. "Aw, thor has a crush." He blushed and hide his face. " I just really care about you. And...i love you. I've known for a while but i didn't know how to say it." You looked up at him. "I loved you too. So much." He scoffed. "I love you more." You smirked. "Ok, sure." You grabbed his hand and stared at the sunset together, glad you finally got your happily ever after.
(this took me so long for what? all the other ones are coming, i swear)
