NOTE: everything you read in this story wouldn’t be parallel to dangerous addiction and so on. this is a trial story, ridge and zamiel’s plot would be soon released after lyle and gian’s real plot (yes, these two would also undergo changes. ack.)

PROLOGUE

LOVE is something confounded. Not only to those who fell for someone from a different status, to those who had different age gaps, or to people who owned an intricate life.

It is sometimes disheartening, enraging, unbearable. Love is difficult to attain for those who are condemned by the society, to those who believed that it is immoral to love the same gender.

And it was the unfortunate situation for Ridge, only that it was worst than he'd expected. After all, not only that he fell for the same gender, Zamiel was also his childhood best friend.

MULA nang magkaisip si Ridge, kasa-kasama na niya si Zamiel. And for some odd reason, the lad also chose to be with him instead of his own twin brother.

Zamiel said that it was because Zach is way too overwhelming and energetic, and Ridge always shrugged the reason off as he liked Zamiel's company, anyway.

After all, Ridge can be whoever he wanted to be with Zamiel. And though, the latter may appear rude, he'd still follow Ridge. Even let him do things although Zamiel knows the consequences.

Kaya super best friend ang tingin niya rito.

Until on that day, when a certain moment triggered an odd emotion within Ridge and changed how he views Zamiel as a person.

He was just nine while Zamiel was already ten. They both ran hand in hand around their street as they searched for a good hiding place because they wanted their quality time to be spent together.

No Zach, no Leon, nor Gian. Just the two of them.

"Saan mo ba 'ko dadalhin? Kanina pa tayo tumatakbo," Singhal ni Zamiel.

At dahil sa reklamo nito, sandaling tumigil si Ridge bago nagsimulang maglakad. Kung sa bagay, kahit naman siya ay napagod katatakbo samantalang malapit lang ang pupuntahan nila.

Nang mapansin ang pagdadahan dahan ni Ridge ay hinabol kaagad siya ni Zamiel para magpantay sila, tapos ay yumuko ito para silipin ang itsura niya.

"O, 'di mo pa rin ba sasabihin saan?"

Pinasadahan niya ng mabilis na tingin ang kaibigan bago marahang umiling. Nanunudyo rin siyang nginisian ito, dahilan para kumibot ang isang kilay ni Zamiel sa inis.

"Malapit naman na tayo..."

"Malapit? Eh wala naman tayong mapupuntahan dito liban diyan sa bakanteng bahay na 'yan. Bobo ka ba, Ridge?"

Binalingan ni Ridge ang abandonadong bahay na malapit sa kanila, mas lumawak din ang ngisi niya bago marahang tinanguan si Zamiel.

Hindi man lang ito nakaramdam na ito ang lugar na tinutukoy ni Ridge. Saan pa ba? Samantalang takot din siyang tumawid sila.

"Oo nga..."

Nanlalaki ang mga matang tinitigan siya ng kaibigan bago nito itinuro ang bahay na tinutukoy. Siya namang pagtango ulit ni Ridge, dahilan para mas lalong takasan ng kulay sa mukha si Zamiel.

Matapos noon ay namamanghang itinuro nito ang bahay.

"Papagalitan tayo ng may-ari niyan!"

"Wala naman sila riyan. Edi okay lang."

"Kokote mo, Ridge! 'Di display 'yan. Isa pa, delikado diyan! Binakante, edi 'di tapos?"

Ngiti lang ang isinagot niya, dahilan para mapailing ito at bumuga ng marahas na hangin.
