As mal and Anna walked their way through the house, mal told the story behind the painting as anna had gave her the payment
After the meeting with Mrs. Maniaci, mal had went to Ava's apartment
As she knocked on the door, she had a smile painted on her face. After several knocks she was greeted by a very hyped blue

"Hi, baby. what did you and ava did today?" mal asked as she put her daughter down
"Hi mal, how are you? and would you like some juice? and did you eat already?" ava bombarded mal some questions as she came into view
"Yes please, and I'm fine and yes I already ate dinner thanks for asking" mal answered
Mal walked inside the loft apartment, she sat in the kitchen counter

"So, how is your meeting with buyers?" ava asked as she gave mal her juice to drink
"It was fine" mal shrugged as ava gave her a worried look
"It did not went well?" ava asked worried as mal widened her eyes
"Oh no, it went very well A, I'm just tired" mal answered as ava sighed in relief
"Okay if you say so, but was that all the buyers? Is everything done?" ava asked
"Oh not yet, you know the painting of the woman that looked like you?" mal asked "Someone wanted to buy it for a million bucks"
"Oh, really that's cool. Who's the lucky buyer?" ava said/asked
"I don't really know him, but his name is Jackson Dave Gratienza" ava paled as she heard that name which made mal worried
"Ava, are you okay?" mal asked as she snap her fingers on ava
"Ohh uhm, what" ava asked as she snapped out of her thoughts
"Are you okay?" mal repeated her question worriedly
"Yeah, I'm okay" ava reassured as mal was still worried
"You don't seem like it" mal stated as ava sighed in defeat
"It's because..."
"Because?" mal pushed
"Can you please do me a favor mal?, if that's okay?" ava asked as she grabbed mal's hands
"Sure, what is it?"
"I know that Jackson offered you a million dollars for the painting but can you not sell the painting to him or just don't sell the painting at all" mal looked at her confused
"Okay fine, if that's what you want" mal didn't question ava further and just agreed to her as she saw that it made ava happy
"Thank you, mal" ava said as she hugged her
Their conversation about mal's buyer and how their day went on and on until ava had fallen asleep which thankfully they had a sleepover.
Mal held her cellphone close as she was looking at Mr. Gratienza's phone number, she hesitated for hours if she would call him or not, luckily she didn't had to decide for long as her phone went off with Mr. Gratienza's name flashed on the screen

P: Hi Ms. Moors, I am sorry if I disturbed you. I was just checking if our deal is still on?
(Mal took a deep breathe before answering)
M: Uhmm, it's okay Mr. Gratienza couldn't sleep anyways. Uhhm sorry to say this Sir but that painting was really not for sale, that painting really had a special value for me
(She heard Jackson sighed on the other side of the phone)
P: Well okay, but if you ever changed your mind call me
M: Sure, sorry again Mr. Gratienza

As mal hang up she smiled before laying beside her daughter cuddling with her before falling asleep
It had been 2 days(sorry for the rush, I just love time skips😂✌) since mal slept at ava's house and mal was on her way to ava's office when she saw a guy looking at the window of the building
"Heyy, umm excuse me" mal said grabbing the guy's attention
"Oh, Ms. Moors what are you doing here?" the guy asked as mal was shocked
"Ohh, uhm nothing. What are you doing here?" mal asked
"I'm here to visit ava" mal wanted to punch the guy but stopped herself
"You know ava?" mal asked
"Of course, she's my girlfriend" the guy smirked as mal stood on the side shocked
"Well that's great" mal said as she walked away
It was night time and mal was crying, everything hurts. She loves ava or evie. whoever she is but she knew she couldn't compete with a guy who is near on being a freaking prince
