Hey guys! Sorry that this chapter took quite a while! I've been quite busy!

Not a super long chapter or anything but it's done (and it would have been done hours ago if the cat had left me alone for five minutes rather than climbing all over my keyboard...so attention seeking sometimes I swear >.<) Oh well. It's up now!

Anyway as always comments and votes are appreciated but most importantly PLEASE ENJOY::

Chapter Nineteen: A Friend Like Me

[You don’t have work today, do you? – Jake]

I smiled down at the message on my phone.

I sent the reply, as I walked down the corridor, glad that today was over and that I didn’t have to go work.

[No I don’t x – Taylor]

My phone chimed with another message.

[Want to go somewhere then? – Jake]

I hesitated, before I sent the next message. I was already ridiculously tired. But for the same reason I was tired was the same reason I was reluctant to go home.

The arguing.

[Depends on where x – Taylor]

His reply came through almost immediately.

[A surprise. I’m in your school car park – meet me? – Jake]

My eyebrows rose slightly. He was already here?

[Okay, fine, but just as long as wherever it is you want to go it doesn’t involve lots of walking x – Taylor]

It took a little longer for him to reply this time.

[Slight walking required. I could give you a piggyback if you want? ;) – Jake]

I fought back a grin at his response.

[Careful what you promise – I might just hold you to that. Be there in five! x – Taylor]

[Ooooh I’m scared… what are you? Four foot nothing? You’re probably as light as anything :) – Jake]

I punched in my reply.

[I’m 5’2 I’ll have you know! x – Taylor]

[You’re right. Any taller and you’ll be the same height as the BFG(!) – Jake]

I rolled my eyes at my phone. From behind me someone caught indignantly to let me know I was holding up the flow of movement towards the school exit.

[Watch it buster! x – Taylor]

After I sent the text I pocketed my phone, stopping at my locker to ditch my textbooks I didn’t need tonight.

Rachel was already waiting for me there, texting away on her own phone.

As I stopped by her she lifted her head and gave me a grin.

“You look chipper.” I noted.

“I got an A on my test.” She explained.

“Nerd.” I fake coughed.

She was about to retort when my phone chiming loudly with the sound of an incoming text cut her off. Her eyebrows rose slightly. “Someone’s texting you.”
