You'd known him for a little while, He started talking to you one day in English class. You admired the bleach blonde boy. He asked you out a week after he met you, He'd kissed you on your third date, He told you he loved you three months after meeting you when he called you on the phone. It had become a pretty normal thing, sleep never came easy to Alex and you had told him
"Anytime you can't sleep and you wanna call me. Then call me"
He promised to and he did. Alex called at least 3 times a week. Sometimes he would call every day. It didn't bother you anyway. Alex called at 2:47 a.m , you answered knowing why he'd called.
"Sorry couldn't sleep and I wanted to talk to you is that alright."
You smiled at the shyness
"S'alright"
There was a long pause and you could hear him shifting in his bed, You heard the lamp cut on or off. Off you assumed and the TV in the background cut down.
"I love you"
He said when he settled into the bed.
"I love you too"
It wasn't something you two said a lot. Often just showing it in actions. You could hear him sigh on the other end
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine why?"
"You just sound a little sad is all"
"Oh well I'm fine"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes"
You both went quiet for a little while.
"Actually I am kinda tired now."
"Okay well I'll talk to you tomorrow"
"No please stay"
And you did of course you did. You didn't speak for awhile and it was just talking about things that had happened at school.
"Yeah and Zach and I were talking and you'll never guess what"
You were waiting for a response but soon you just heard his soft snores
