*Thursday- Lunch Time*

"Y'all can sit with us." Khelani yelled out, inviting Amari and Mila over to their jointed tables.

The girls walked over and took a seat.

"I hope you both got all the rest y'all needed. It's game day!" Jade announced.

"Yesss! Are you starting Amari?" Angel asked. She knew the answer was a no, but she asked anyways to rub it in her face.

"Nah, I gotta sit out two games before I even start playing. It's school policy for newbies. I'm sure you knew that though." Amari responded.

Angel only laughed until she noticed Amari pulling a few looks at her man. Angel did not like that all, so she got up and went to sit in Kameron's lap and kissed him. He kissed her back.

"So fucking extra.." Leilani said under her breath.

"Nothing new with her." Toni pointed out.

While everyone made small conversation amongst each other, Amari just sat back and observed the clique. She started to piece things together as she noticed a few of them making moves on one another. She began to think to herself, *Aight so obviously Angel and Kameron are together. Khelani and Jaylen are together. Jade and... Alex? Toni with.. whaaaaat?? Okayyy, gon' ahead white boy...*

"Why you so quiet?" Khelani asked Amari.

"Yeah. We cool, so don't be shy." Aaliyah added.

"Not shy. Just very attentive." Amari said while look around at everyone's faces.

"No need. We're not sneaky. And we like you." Angel was so sassy and pretended to be a lot of things. She tried hard to get any and all the attention she can get.

Mila looked up and sarcastically said, "Riighttt..." She knew Angel didn't like her sister.

"I'm deadass. Here, lemme tell you a little about everyone. I'm Angel. Leader of the pack." Angel said laughing it off as a joke. Only she wished she wasn't kidding. "I'm playing. I'm Angel and Kameron is my man." She wrapped her arms around him and gave Amari a smirk trying to make her jealous. "That's Leilani. She's real quiet. Her man is obviously who legs she sittin' in between- Brandon. That's Khelani. She coo but be having a smart ass mouth. Her and Queen both got jokes and they real similar. They shoulda been sisters or sum'. Jaylen is Khelani's man. Queen is a single pringle. She love to think she's independent. I can disagree, but whatever. This is my best friend, Toni. She dates the one only cool white boy here- Cody. They cute, huh? Anyways, then there's Aaliyah and Jade. They're best friends. Aaliyah's dude is Triston, and Jade's dude is Alex. The tallest mfs here. Then that's Jordan. He cool, his girl not though. She some lil white chick that be actin like she bad or whateva. And there you have it!" Angel would notice when other people tried too hard to be popular, but when it came to herself.. she either was blind or ignored it.

Mila could sense that Angel was trying to be petty in a way. And she hated that her sister wasn't saying anything. With that, she took matters into her own hands, "And this my half sister, Amari. For those who don't already know, she's the one that smoked Angel's ass in practice on Monday."

Everyone laughed except for Angel. She smacked Kameron, telling him to not laugh.

"Please, I wasn't even trying. I let her have it since it was her first day." Angel said.

Mila knew she was lying. "Mhmm.. Well, today isn't her first anymore so during warm-ups, race her again, for real."

"We got a game today so it wont be like regular practice." Angel reasoned to avoid the idea.
