SHe's Fine

This chapter ties in with the last one. It tells what everyone else is doing during the time of Amari's situation. It also includes insights on just a few of the characters' life and/or what they're personally dealing with.

•Angel•

"You hear about Kameron?" Toni asked Angel.

"Yeah, girl. I been callin' his stupid ass, but he ain't answering." Angel told Toni.

"He prolly need some alone time." Toni said.

Angel rolled her eyes and said, "What alone time? That went out the door when he decided to get back wit me."

Toni laughed. "You so controlling. You needa chill. Guys don't like when females don't respect they space when they need it. Everybody be needin' some alone time. It's natural."

"Nah, see now you soundin' a lil too much like ya boy. And men will always trade that alone time for time with his girl when he need peace in his life. THAT's natural." Angel said while snapping her fingers.

Toni laughed again. "Yeah, that too... but if he ain't tradin' it for his girl... what that tell you?"

The two paused for a second. "Girl, don't do that. I do bring peace into his life." Angel snapped.

"Okay, then why isn't he answering?" Toni asked.

"Bitch, prolly cause he's still asleep." Angel reasoned.

Toni gave Angel a side eye and said, "Mmm... yeah, okay. Still sleep and it's 10 o'clock. His night was not that long... y'all wasn't even together last night after the game so he prolly just went straight to sleep."

Angel didn't say anything back. She knew Toni was right in a way, so she just continued texting Kameron back to back.

Angel loved Kameron. She also loved attention, and if she had to, she didn't mind going to someone else for it. She was spoiled all her life. That was until her parents had split when she turned 13. Her mom was having an affair with someone else at her job. Angel knew all along, and she promised her mom she wouldn't say a word. Angel's dad did the math and figured everything out. He had his lawyer serve the mom with divorce papers, and Angel's mom took Angel with her. The dad didn't care. He figured out that Angel would cover for her mom some times, and it hurt him almost just as much as the cheating did.

Angel lived with her mom and step dad. Similar to Amari's previous situation. Kind of. Angel's mom allowed her to do anything she wanted, and supported Angel's every decision in things. She would even go as far as helping Angel cheat on guys. Why not? Angel helped her...

Like mother, like daughter.

Kameron opened his eyes and looked at his phone. He had 48 messages and 34 missed calls. They were all from Angel. He rolled his eyes and tried to go back to sleep.

*DING*

*Mcht* "What the fuck bro." Kameron said, looking at his phone again. He was annoyed with Angel. All he wanted to do was to sleep in, but she wouldn't let him. She was now calling again for the 35th time.
