•Wednesday: Lunch Time•

"Hey, Amari." Khelani said. "Congrats!"

Amari gave Khelani a confused look and asked, "Congrats for what?"

Queen looked over at Khelani and cut her off. "On making it into our clique." She gave Amari a short smile then glanced at Angel who was busy running her mouth to Kameron.

Khelani really congratulated her because Coach K replaced Angel with Amari as a starter for the game on Thursday. Queen knew Angel wasn't aware yet, so she covered Khelani.

Coach K was fed up with Angel's attitude, and she punished her by sitting her out for the first half of the game. She came up with that idea earlier that morning and loved it.

"Yo, so do y'all got the same momma or daddy?" Alex asked Amari and Mila.

"Same daddy." Mila answered.

Jaylen looked up and said, "That's the opposite of me and Toni. We got the same momma. Our momma is mixed, hence our light skin."

Aaliyah and Jordan looked at each other and both said, "Can't relate." They laughed when they noticed they both said the same thing at the same time and gave each other a high-five.

"Headasses" Brandon said.

"Jordan's my fraternal twin." Aaliyah told Amari. "People tend to forget it though."

Amari studied both Jordan's and Aaliyah's faces, looking for the resemblance between the two. "I can kinda see it." She said.

"Well, then... since we all pointing out our relatives, Alex is my cousin." Triston added. "Folks say we don't look it but shiiitt.. We kin for real."

"Yeah, and Kameron my grandad. Hence his secret dentures. Don't tell him I told you though.." Cody added sarcastically while winking at Amari.

The whole crew heard about Amari's jokes, and they decided to chime in making jokes of their own.

Everyone laughed catching Angel and Kameron's attention. They paid no mind to the group's conversation because they were too busy talking amongst each other... that was until Kameron heard his name and the group of friends laughing.

"What y'all say?" Kameron asked with attitude in his voice.

"Nun'... go back to ignoring us." Alex joked.

Kameron rolled his eyes and told Angel to get up so they could leave.

"You ain't gotta do that bro. It was just a joke." Triston said while laughing.

Kameron looked at the group and shook his head. Him and Angel then sat down and started listening to their conversation.

"Why so sensitive?" Brandon purposely said with an Asian accent to make his question funny. He wanted to emphasize that it was a joke question since Kameron was already in his feelings.

Kameron didn't say anything back.

Jade rolled her eyes and looked over at Mila and said, "Anyways, congrats to you too, Mila!" I heard the good news."

Mila gave her a weird look, hoping she wasn't talking about what she thought it was. She specifically told Jay not to say anything to anyone, including his sister. She felt like Jade would run her business back to Aaliyah. Mila cut her eyes at Jay then looked back at Jade and asked, "Congrats for what?"

Jade bucked her head and said, "What you meaaan girl? What, you thought Jay wasn't gonna tell me 'bout you getting accepted into college prep? That's a big deal! And he was hella happy. He came home yesterday bragging about it. He said he was both proud and happy for you. You really do motivate him to be someone better. And THANK YOU for that. His ass used to be dumb and didn't know how to stay outta shit."
