HELLOO! Sorry for the absence, life's been life-ing. (Lol) I kind of just picked up from the last part. I may reintroduce a few characters due to it being so long since I originally published, but I'm not sure which chapter it'll be in. Anyways, Enjoy! ;)
This chapter is longer than the previous ones (maybe even boring), but it's important to read through it.

It's Saturday morning, and Amari just got out of the shower. She made sure she got up early to clear up her room and got ready for her discharge. She also had to go down to radiology for a few scans.

*Knock knock* Dr. Mendez walked into the room to see Mila on the couch and Josiah laying in the patient bed. "Good morning Miss Love. I hope you got enough rest last night. Is your brother still around?"

Amari was wrapping her hair in a t-shirt since it was still wet. "No, he left about an hour ago to work. Are my discharge papers ready?" Amari asked with a cheesy smile. She was sick of being in the hospital.

"I haven't checked, but I'll definitely get back to you on that." Dr. Mendez lied. Amari was not leaving like he'd promise, but only because he had discovered another issue.

He pulled out his phone and shot a text to Malik and made sure he made it known that it was urgent.

"Hey, I'ma go check on those papers, then I'll be back, okay?" Dr. Mendez told Amari.

Amari only smiled and nodded. She had a feeling something was up.

"Before I go, how are you feeling?" Dr. Mendez asked.

Amari faced Dr. Mendez to answer his question. "Umm... I-" All of a sudden she felt lightheaded. She wasn't sure why. Maybe because she skipped breakfast?

"A-Amari? Are you okay?" Dr.Mendez took a step closer to Amari trying to examine her.

"Uhh... I- I kinda feel..." Before Amari could finish her sentence, her eyes rolled back and she fell backwards.

Dr. Mendez rushed to her side knocking over a few things out of his way and caught Amari just in time. The noises made woke Josiah up.

"Shit!" Josiah mumbled after realizing what had just happened. He jumped up and quickly ran to Dr. Mendez's aid and asked what he should do. Dr. Mendez instructed him to assist him carry Amari to her bed. The two did just that. Dr. Mendez then got Amari situated and stepped outside to call Malik. He didn't respond to the text and the news couldn't wait.

*Bzzzzzzz* Malik pulled his phone out to see he had three messages and two missed calls from Dr. Mendez, a message from Josiah and a missed call from Mila.

He called Dr. Mendez a minute after missing his last call and asked what's going on.

When Dr. Mendez explained that he needed him there ASAP. Malik wasted no time and made his way back to the hospital. His mind was racing and he repeatedly told himself he should've just called out again.

As soon as he got into the hospital, he rushed to his sister's room. He busted into the room and saw Amari laying in her bed asleep with a nurse at her bedside checking her vitals. "Where's Dr. Mendez?"

"He stepped out to take a phone call. He'll be back in here soon to speak with you." The nurse answered Malik.

About half an hour goes by and Mila, Josiah and Malik were all just sitting around waiting. "I'm about to go to the cafe to get some food. Y'all want something?" Mila said, breaking the silence.

Both guys shook their head no."I'll go walk with you though." Josiah told Mila.

The two got up and walked out the room as Dr. Mendez made his way in. He excused himself and gave a Malik a nod.
