Jake's POV
I am not an emotional guy. I am also very reserved, I like keeping things to myself. I have always been that way probably always will be. I have only ever needed Zach and Alex.
It wasn't until Ava came into my life did I finally realize, how reserved I have been. Well that is kind of a lie. It wasn't until she showed up did I realize how much of an ass I was to people.
When Ava told me about her past I saw her. Yeah I know cheesey but I didn't see her sarcastic self. I saw Ava Gomez, the real her.
And to think my past was bad. Well it still is, but you get the point. Even after she told me about her past, I still didn't have the guts to tell her about mine.
"How about I tell you after school, at my house." I suggest while taking a strand of hair and puttung it behind her ear. I see her eyes widen in surprise, because she has never been to my house before.
"Deal." Ava agrees while starting to get up. But I hold her down to stay on my lap.
"No don't go, I am nice and comfortable." I say while tightening my grip on her.
"Well I want to eat my food." Ava whines,
"Why am I strangely jealous of food right now?" I ask while letting her go. She stands up and goes to her side of the booth.
"Because food is going to be inside me in about a couple seconds." She says while eye raping the food that is coming in our direction.
"You know, that doesn't have to be the only thing inside you." I say with a suggestive tone. I just get cheese on my forehead.
After the meal, Ava says she forgot her wallet, so I pay and leave to go to school.
We are in the car when...
"Let's play 20 questions." Ava asks she says while looking over at me.
"Shoot." I say while taking a turn.
"Favorite color?" Ava asks while fiddling with her shirt.
"Probably grey, white, and black," I say thoughtfully, "Yours?"
"I think grey and blue. Favorite flower?" She asks.
"You are asking a dude their favorite flower?" I ask while looking at her incredulously.
"Yes, what is wrong with that?" She asks, while folding her arms over her chest.
"Well, I am a dude." I explain while stopping at a newly turned red light.
"Don't tell me you are a sexist kind of guy?" Ava ask while turning her body towards me.
"Well, if you put it like that I would say a Lily." I say with a carless shrug. "You?"
"I guess, I would say a daisy." She answers thoughtfully.
"Really, why?" I ask while moving the car foward.
"2 reasons really, the first would be because before all the bullshit started in my life, my parents and I would go to this field and all that was there were daisies, during the summer the flowers would bloom and there were lady bugs every 5th flower, and we would pick the flowers and put some in a vase, that would have to be my fondest childhood memeroy.
The second would be because they are beautiful, and only two colors. Like it doesn't have these extra pedals, it just has a yellow bud and white pedals, yet they are one of the most prettiest flower, in my opinion.
I think that girls should know this, that it is a lesson that simplicity can be and is beautiful. I feel as if it can represent girls from today's world. All they want is to have the clothes and the make up. It is the simplest out of all of them that makes them real, and simple but who says that's a bad thing?"
