First Person

Episode: Fury
Chapter 28

Scott holds onto me as I grip my gunshot wound in pain.

"Back! Back!" Matt points his gun at Melissa as she tries to walk towards us.

Scott groans. "Mom. Mom! Stop, Mom!"

"I said get back." Matt yells at her.

"It's okay." I say weakly.

"Mom, do it. Please, Mom." Scott pleads with her.

"Get up, McCall, Campbell." Matt tells us.

"Matt? Matt, listen to me—" We hear Stilinski shout.

"Shut-shut-shut up! Everybody shut the hell up!" Matt screams at us.

"Now, get up, or I shoot her next." Matt tells us looking at Melissa.

"Please, they need to see a doctor..." Melissa says tearfully.

"You think so?" Matt's mocks.

"Hey! Hey, you listen to me!" Stilinski shouts.

"It's all right. I'm okay." Scott tells her.

"We're okay." I nod.

Even if I'm not I don't want her to get hurt.

"No, honey, you're not okay..."

"It doesn't hurt, Mom." Scott tells her and I nod trying to hide my pain.

"Cause that's the adrenaline, okay?" She tells us.

"Please, let me-let me just take a look at them, okay? I mean, I can stop the bleeding." She pleads with Matt.

Matt scoffs. "They have no idea, do they?" He looks at Scott.

Melissa continues to cry and plead with him. "Please, let me take a quick look. I—"

"Shut-shut-shut-shut up! Lady, if you keep talking, I'm gonna put the next bullet through their heads." Matt stammers.

"Okay... Okay..." Melissa nods.

We bring Melissa to the cell next to Stilinski and lock her in.

I'm holding on to Scott to help me walk.

I'm gonna pass out soon. Or die.

"Back to the front you two." He tells us.

"After you." He says and points his gun at us as we walk.

"The evidence is gone. Why don't you just go?" Scott asks him.

"You-you think the evidence mattered that much, huh? No. No, I want the book." Matt tells us.
