Author's POV
"He wants you to court him." Jungkook's grandma deadpanned, leaving no room for arguments. "B-but." Jungkook interrupts in. "Y-you guys don't have to do it i-if y'all don't want t-to…"
It was almost one pm, of the next day and Jungkook's grandmother had called all the members up to inform them about her and Kookie's final decision.
"No! Kookie, we really want to do this. If this is the only way to earn you back and to make up for what we did, then we are ready for anything!" Jimin said as everyone made a notice of agreement.
"However," his grandma jutted in. "This will not mean he will forgive you. He has feelings for you, yes. But he is still scared from what you did to him earlier. Courting him will only make him comfortable around you. But whether or not to forgive you will still be his decision, and I can't say anything about it."
The others nodded. "We understand ma'am." Namjoon said, bowing down. "You better do. And if I see a single tear come out of my kookie's eyes because of you, you'll be dead meat." She threatened. Her tone made sure that all of them knew she meant every word of it.
"Now, jungkook, do you want to go back to the dorm? Or do you want to stay with us while you guys' dating?" Lisa asked. Of course she was also a part of all this!
"I wanna be with them noona." Jungkook said, feeling his grandmother's glare on him. You see, he and his grandmother had had somewhat of an argument yesterday regarding where Jungkook should stay. His grandma wanted him to stay with them, not trusting the hyungs enough. While jungkook wanted to go back to his dorm partly because he felt like a burden while he was here and partly because people were now starting to question his identity.
To be honest, a young adult boy who always keeps a mask and hood on will look shady to anyone.
So, yeah, jungkook wanted to leave. Although he STILL didn't trust the hyungs fully. But their will to do "anything" for him seemed to bring a bit of the faith back.
"That's great, Ggukie! I've already cleaned up your room!" Jin beamed, coming in for a hug. Jungkook gave him a small smile and gently hugged back, not too tight, but also not loose enough to seem emotionless.
Everyone else pouted but didn't say anything. Jungkook needed time. And they were more than ready to give that to him.
"So, should we get going?" Namjoon asked. "Yeah, it's almost time for lunch too." Yoongi added. "Yeah, jungkook already has his stuff packed, for whatever reason." His grandma rolled her eyes.
"C'mon Mrs Jeon, it's his decision. The least we can do is cheer him up, right?" Lisa said. But the oldest kept sulking. She, much like another stubborn maknae, didn't like admitting that she actually wanted her grandson to stay with her for a bit more.
Jungkook glances at her, worriedly. She had helped him so much, he felt bad for leaving her like this.
"It's ok kook, I'll explain everything to her." Lisa softly whispered, earning a smile in return. "Oh and yeah, remember to keep in touch ok?" She said out loud, making jungkook giggle. "Yes noona, I won't forget." He said, grinning.
"Should we get going then?" Hoseok asked. "Yeah, just let me get my stuff, hyungs." Jungkook said, leaving to get his backpack. It didn't have much in it, just the bare minimum.
When he came back, his grandma looked comparatively ok with the situation, although she looked kind of sad now. Lisa gave jungkook a wink, indicating that she was the one who handled the situation. Jungkook gave a grateful smile in return.
"Granny, don't be sad, kookie will always visit you once a month." Jungkook said, using third person to sound cuter. Yoongi's heart warmed up at that. The usage of third person always reminded him of kookie. His little.
His grandmother finally smiled. "And don't forget to call me everyday too." She said, making jungkook nod. "You all should get going now, it's almost time for lunch." She added.
"Sure, bye granny! Bye noona!" Jungkook said, giving them both a last hug before turning towards the guys who greeted him with a warm smile.
The two females also bid their farewell as the seven guys settled down into the car.
This time, yoongi was the one driving, with jin sitting besides him. Jungkook was sitting in the middle seat with Jimin and Namjoon on either side. Taehyung and Hoseok were sitting at the back.
It was a bit awkward at first. Meeting each other after months and that too in such a short notice. But it also felt nice. They were missing each other badly.
Jin was the first to break the ice. "About BTS, kookie. You can leave if you want to. Bang pd is ok with it and-"
"No Hyung, I wanna continue. I wanted to leave cause… yeah." Jungkook said, trying not to remember the past. Jin smiled at the youngest.
"Annd about the courting thing," Namjoon started. "Who do you want to go out with first?"
"I- umm… I don't know Hyungs, whoever is free maybe?" The youngest said, unsure. Asking the members to take out extra time from their already busy schedules was the last thing he ever wanted.
Yoongi shook his head, catching the younger's eyes from the front mirror. "We've been searching for you constantly kook, all our schedules have been cancelled and bangtan is currently on a hiatus." He said, without looking back.
"Wait, really?!" Jungkook gasped. He hadn't been checking up on news regarding the group, so he knew almost nothing.
"Yeah." Hoseok said, from behind him. "Hyungs, you guys really didn't have to…" jungkook trailed off. "Of course we had to kookie! We have made a mistake and we are ready to do anything to make it better. Both for you, and for our bond." Taehyung said.
Jungkook's heart swelled up with affection. "I missed you all. I shouldn't have ran away…" he confessed out of the blue.
"We missed you too, bun. And we also understand why you ran away that day." Jimin said, giving the younger his signature eye smile. Everyone else made a noise of approval.
At Least they are together now.
The rest of the drive went by quickly, with the members talking about random things among themselves, jungkook was also contributing to the chat once in a while.
By the time, Yoongi was shifting on the driver's seat. It seemed like he wanted to ask something but couldn't bring himself to do so. "Yoongs, you ok?" Jin whispered, not enough to let the others notice. They were too busy talking anyways.
"Yeah, I just wanted to ask him about little koo… but I'm scared of the answer myself…" yoongi trailed off, trying his best to keep him mind on the road.
"He's back now, Hyung." Jungkook said out of nowhere, catching everyone's attention. "Your little kook is back now. And he also misses you, very much." He adds with a smile.
Yoongi locks eyes with the younger one through the front mirror, just for a second. "He d-doesn't remember that day?" Yoongi asks. "He does… he just wants to understand why you all hit him that day." Jungkook replies.
"But it's alright, we can explain it to him." The younger one says with a smile.
Yoongi smiled back, without turning. "That's great kookie!" He said. "You can slip whenever you want!"
