While they were still eating under the light cheerful atmosphere, both Mrs. Kim, Mr. Kim receive a notification.
Regrading to the investment that Y/N's father had a part with, it spread like wildfire as even the morning news did a report on it. Both of them looked at Y/N, while he had the same expression as before, still smiling a bit.
"Can I request something?" He asks without any emotion or even expression. Which even made Minjoo worried.
Mrs. Kim was the first one to broke this silence.
"We will think about it first, say."
Y/N smirks a bit, which Minjoo notices.
"As expected, Mrs. Kim is the one who handles everything."
Despite the act of Mr. Kim looking like he's the one who takes control of all the decisions, it's true that his wife is the one who makes it. He looks away, not meeting any stare his daughter had on him.
" Please, no matter what my.. Father say or do later or even the future, don't help him." He stood up from the seat and bow.
"Why?" A simple, yet complicated question for Y/N.
Y/N went behind Minjoo and covered both her ears with his own hand. "Revenge. I can promise you that I won't hurt your princess, that much." He looked down to see Minjoo looking up at him too, curious about what he said. "She's too precious to be hurt too."
"Are you saying bad things about me that's why you had to cover my ears?" She pouts. He shakes his head. "You're precious." Minjoo just continues to look at his mouth, "I don't understand a thing??"
Both her parents look at how Y/N looks at Minjoo caringly and that made Mr. Kim wonder. "You stop your vengeance, and we will not help him. Deal?"
"This isn't a deal in the first place, it's actually a warning Mr. Kim." Y/N looks at him deadly, " If my dad goes on with this, I won't be surprised if he going to use me furthermore for him to grow richer."
"Meaning, he could even use me to destroy your daughter in the future in over to take over her share, which you probably agreed to give Minjoo upon her marriage." He continues.
"Let's be honest, how long have you been scheming this?"
Mrs. Kim looks at him furiously, she's a fool thinking this young man in front of her was innocent and genuine just now.
"I didn't plan for this engagement. I only planned for the revenge that doesn't implicate you guys at all. I could have not told you anything in the first place." He let his hand down, which Minjoo softly cheers, "finally!" He chuckles at the sight of it, "sometimes, you're really like a child despite the fact that you're already an adult."
"Shut up, you too."
Mrs. and Mr. Kim kept silent while looking at both of them flirting right in front of them and losing in their own beliefs.
Indeed that Y/N could have not told them anything and let them help their soon to be family by marriage which will perhaps make them suffer a bit of loss too.
Most importantly, their daughter Minjoo.
Will it really cost their daughter life in the future?
This is someone, they couldn't sacrifice.
"It's best to be ignorant sometimes Minjoo, you don't have to know why I requested them not to help my dad!" He cups Minjoo's faces and pushes her cheek.
He looks at her lips, "Damn very kissable."
"No." She answered immediately while pushing Y/N's face away.
"Okay, ma'am." He looks away, which sees the OK sign that both her parents give when they notice he's looking at their ways.
'At least I won't be dragging in your family down to this too much, Minjoo. That's the best I could do for now. Sigh. Was it a mistake after all to continue this engagement?'
