Daniëlle's pov
Watching Christen laugh and talk with Ruesha is still extremely weird to me. Since the dinner we had together two days ago, I've been shocked by the fact that they just clicked. They're so different yet they get along very well. And now watching them talk before our game was special. "Good luck guys" She told us when we had to get in the tunnel. "You're ready?" I asked Chris. "Never been more ready in my life" she said.

Today was the day of her Arsenal debut. Not only it was her first game in red, but it was also her first time helping us painting London in red. The famous London derby. The blues were lined up beside us. They're good, I have to admit, but with our two new additions, we're better. Our starting XI consisted of Manu, Leah, Kelley, Lisa, Viki, Jordan, Jill, Chris, Viv, Cait and myself. On the other side, we had Millie, Beth, Tobin, Maren, Kerr, Magda and others that i just don't know what are their names. It was going to be a hard game.

When the signal was given, we walked on the field with our heads held high. They played the English national anthem which I think is funny since most of the players in all the WSL teams aren't even from England. Jordan went to shake hands with the refs since she was the captain for this game before she gave us the speech. "Today we play aggressively. We don't let any balls get away from us and if it happens, you turn around and get it back. Today, we remind everyone why London is red. Let's go crush them" Jordan said. Before we get in position, we have this tradition of all hugging one to one. "You're going to do amazing" I told Christen when we hugged.

I was about to go get placed when Jordan held me back. "Try not to push any ref or to get carded" She warned me. "I'm going to try" I said as my eyes locked with Tobin's.

The match went on and it was so intense. None of our attacks got through their defense and same thing for them. Just before the first half ended, we got the perfect chance to make it one-null for us when Leah cleared the ball that got straight to Jordan's feet. She got passed her player and crossed it perfectly to Cait, but she sent it way over the net.

In the locker room, I always stay in my corner and don't talk to anyone to stay focused and calm myself down. Most of the times during games, at some points it's just like I lose it. I just want to win so bad that it takes over me. That's the main reason why I get in so many altercations with everyone.

When we got back on the field, I was seeing red. At one point, I tried to make a pass back to Kelley, but it got intercepted. I ran to the player in blue to try to get it back by I just got tackled by someone else. When the play turned back, my eyes were focused on her. And when she got the ball, I made sure to get a good slide tackle in.

The crowd erupted in excitement. I had just send Tobin flying. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" She asked as I got over her to look down at her. "It was a legal tackle" I shrugged as she got up. "You should get carded" she got closer to me. "It was legal I just told you. You're just mad Chris chose me instead of you because you're fucking shit" I murmured since she was close enough to hear my heart beat. "What the fuck did you say?" Tobin pushed me, but I barely move. She's pretty weak if I'm being honest.

At this point the referee was just helpless. The fans were getting what they paid for. "That's all you have?" I provoked her. She was about to do something that would've got her into massive trouble when Magda appeared behind her. At the same time, Jill got in the middle of us. "Stop it guys" she said.

"Hey ref. You saw that my tackle was legal. I touched the balls way before I got her legs. And then she pushed me. I shouldn't get carded" I went to bribe the referee. "You're not" she said and I could barely hide my smile. She walked past me and got in front of Tobin that was getting grounded by her captain and put that yellow card in the air. "What did I tell you?" Well it was my turn to get grounded by my captain now. "I'm not carded it's fine" I reassured her with a pat on the back.
