The next morning, I had made it my mission to avoid Jeon Jungkook. Last night wasn't exactly what either of us had expected, so I'm trying to avoid the awkwardness.
I slowly walk through the halls, keeping my head down as I head to the hospital wing. Everyone is at breakfast, so no one is in the hallway. I push my way through the double doors and head to the bed where I find the person I'm looking for.
Rosé looks up at me. We've passed the part where we hate each other, so we're kind of acquaintances now. We're able to have polite conversation and give advice, almost like nothing ever happened.
"Hi." I offer awkwardly.
She offers a weak smile. "Hi."
I hesitantly sit on her bed, and she tilts her head, frowning. She can see right through me. She knows something's up.
I sigh and wince. "You know how you made a joke about falling for the guy I was about to kill?" She squints, then nods. "I think I might have."
Her eyes widen and her jaw drops. "No! Really?"
I wince and nod, rubbing a hand over my forehead. I knew she would react this way.
"He came by last night and kissed me." I say reluctantly. Her eyes widen even more and she lets out a surprised noise. "He wanted to...um..." I scratch the back of my head. "You know..."
"Did you two do it?" She asks, her expression still expressing shock.
I shake my head. "I wanted to though, but I was nervous. He left because he said he didn't want me to do something I wasn't ready for."
She smiles softly and leans back against the headboard of the bed. "Gotta give him props for being understanding. Most guys get irritated when the girl isn't ready to smash." She explains. "Talk to him. It might clear the air."
I nod slowly, but a frown remains on my face. I was never good with words, only with actions. But, to show Rosé I understand, I offer a small smile and spin around, leaving the hospital wing to find Jungkook.
The hallways are empty, to say the least. No signs of anyone, or that anyone could be coming my way. The first place I could look is his room, which was where I was told he was holed up this morning.
When I reach it, I slowly peek through the small window looking into the room. It's messy, clothes being everywhere, his dresser being stacked with different bottles of cologne and hair products, which I didn't know he tended to that much. It's empty though, no signs of him having been there for the past hour, maybe.
Where could he be, other than his room?
"Lisa?" I almost jump out of my skin. Spinning around, I find Jimin walk over to me. His bruising is now going from blues and purples to yellows and greens, which is a good sign.
I offer a nervous smile, realising he's caught me looking into Jungkook's room. "Hi." I offer. "Do you happen to know where Jungkook is?"
Jimin grins. "He's in the gym." He offers a nod before going down the hallway, but he turns around and yells, "And you should cover those hickeys on your neck!"
I immediately feel my cheeks flush and cover my neck with my hair. Of course there's be hickeys, how could I not have noticed?
I scowl at Jimin and make my way to the gym, where I hear grunting and panting. I slowly push through the double doors and find Jungkook inside, wearing nothing but a pair of gym shorts. He's doing pull ups with his back turned to me, giving me an amazing view of his toned back as the muscles tighten while he lifts himself up.
