No this isn't a oneshot

it's better

you might recall a few oneshots back i mentioned in the chapter "In Which Harry is Very Reasonable and Draco is Very Horny" that "I HAVE A HUGE NEW BOOK COMING BUT IT'S GONNA BE WHILE YIKES LMAO"

it was going to remain a secret for a while longer, but in light of us all collectively disowning jk rowling as the writer of Harry Potter (if you haven't heard she was being disrespectful toward transgender people on twitter you can check it out if you want) I've decided to tell you guys now

also i suppose it's a nice announcement for pride month, even though the book won't be published during pride month

I'M REWRITING THE HARRY POTTER SERIES

that's right motherfuckers we are going to have racial, gender, and sexuality diversity baby

also I'm changing cho changs name to Clara Leung you can't stop me no one can stop me

there is a trailer for the book that i will post on Instagram in august hopefully

Some things you can look forward to:

- Cho (now clara) being explored more as a person instead of a love interest

- Harry being a parselmouth being more explored (not sexually shut up but i can't explain yet)

- more cursing because the original is too pg for my 17 year old self

- Dumbledore is still an asshole but people realize it more instead of being like "oh yes Dumbledore is my god he knows all"

- snape doesn't get a redemption arc for being a creep

- draco gets a redemption arc (of course)

- black hermione (of course)

- more ginny/luna "friendship" ;)

- im still not putting sex sorry m8

- less toxic ron because somehow jk made her OWN character OOC when she made him toxic

- let's be real im not changing hermione's personality much

- more Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw representation

- mentioning of more characters that were barely touched on in the actual books

- more good Slytherin representation (yes some are bad but not all smh)

- gender representation (genderfluid, nonbinary, transgender) ((please let me know if there's another gender rep you'd like me to add and I'll see what i can do))

- sexuality representation (gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, asexual) ((again lemme know if there's another you'd like me to add and I'll see if I can))

- racial representation (I'm not making dean and blaise be the only black characters, and cho (clara) is NOT going to be the only Asian character)

- more sassy harry (basically more book harry not movie harry)

- perhaps some Slytherin/Gryffindor friendships?? (i can't say anything yet but i already have some in mind)

- more of slytherins and ravenclaws being best friends because you know they would be

- more romantic relationships because there were like 3 total in the story and they're all teenagers you know they're horny as fuck

- GIRLS HAVE PERIODS MAGIC DOESN'T JUST DELETE THEM M8 WE'RE MENTIONING THEM YOU CAN'T GET RID OF THEM

- Bellatrix is somehow crazier and Voldemort is a bit more scary later on (I think) ((because I've only written the first three chapters of this book and while I have plans I don't have the exacts down yet))

- the dursleys don't get a redemption arc because they're abusive pieces of shit and i refuse to justify them Dudley tries and Dudley fails and that's it m8

- when ron says the dursleys were starving harry molly reacts better

- more pansy/blaise/goyle/crabbe/millicent/more representation because i said so

- i deleted the existence of time turners because i simply can't justify the idea of having one and harry NOT going back to stop the war or his parents dying

- the story completely goes off the rails by prisoner of Azkaban and by goblet of fire you wouldn't even be able to tell that the story is based off of jk's version if it weren't for the Triwizard tournament 

Now a notice: some of the above points are subject to change, as I've only written a small portion of this book and it's going to take forever to write and rewrite 

but yeah :) im rewriting harry potter

the book title is Harry Potter and the Rising Phoenix because phoenixes rise from the ashes of the previous version, and that's what I'm doing to jk's series
