REAL man

Ruel's pov

The clock said 7:30pm and Laiya was sound asleep on my chest, I had already messaged my mum saying that I was going to be late home and If plans changed I would text her and surprisingly she was totally fine with it. I was getting hungry so I decided to wake Laiya up. 

"Hey lays, its getting late" I whispered whilst rubbing her back 

"Hey roolie, sorry I fell asleep on you" she said back whilst rubbing her eyes 

"don't worry about it you're a very cute sleeper" I winked at her 

"mhmm" she said whilst snuggling back into me

"do you wanna go get some food, I'm hungry" I asked and her eyes immediately opened

"oh my god yes please, pizza?" she said whilst sitting up

"uhh for sure, lets go grab it shall we" I asked

"hold on let me get changed, I can't go out in a sports bra and shorts" she said whilst giggling 

"no you can't thats why you should wear this" I said whilst pulling off the hoodie I was wearing leaving me in my golf shirt 

"you sure, you may get cold" she said 

"no no no I want you to wear it, it'll look better on you anyways" I chuckled 

she put it on over her bra and I was correct she did look better in it, much better in fact.

"My point was proven" I said gesturing to her 

"awww ur cute" she said while pecking my lips 

I held out my hand and intertwined our fingers leading us down to my car, once we had both gotten inside we turned on the radio and one of my songs started playing "next song is by the rising Australian artist Ru-el"  they said messing up my name which made Laiya start giggling 

"Hey I have never heard of the artist Ru-el, have you?" she asked still giggling 

"No I can't say I have, but I know he is friends with this other singer called Ruel and he's really hot and talented apparently" I said looking over at her 

"I've heard otherwise" she said making me put my hand over my heart faking being hurt by her words

We sat laughing and pulled into the parking lot, we both hopped out and walked through the big glass doors, there were a few teenage girls who looked over at us and a few came over asking for pictures. I started taking pictures with them when Laiya whispered in my ear 

"I'm really hungry so I'll go order the pizzas" she said 

"are you sure" I said whilst slightly hugging one of the fans 

"yes of course now continue taking photos" she said whilst walking off

I continued talking to the girls they were talking about how they are my biggest fans, or what their favourite songs are. Some of them brought up dazed and confused and how I should release it and to be honest I really want to since I love the song and who it's written about. One of the girls mentioned how they thought Laiya was really pretty which I agreed with making the girls all squeal with excitement, I looked over to Laiya and saw her talking to a boy who looked around our age, they seemed to be getting along and it was obvious that he was flirting with her which made me extremely uncomfortable. I said my final goodbyes to the girls and walked over to Laiya who was still talking with the guy, she seemed a little bit uncomfortable which made me mad but I had to conceal my anger. 

"Hey lays, don't pay it's my treat" I said as she was about to take out her card, I quickly pushed it away and handed the boy my card, I could see he was pissed off which made me happy.
