Coffee, tea, or me?

Jisoo blinked three times as if the words would change, but they never left the caramel macchiato cup placed inches apart almost touching her nose tip. It was a reminder of the reality that her previous night was not a dream, and the pounding headache was proof of her drunken mistakes.

"I will pick the third if I were you," it came out as a teasing whisper, close to her right ear as his arm placed the iced cup on the table before he sat next to her. He wore his olive green hoodie, dark brown hair lit to brunette, and his thick eyebrows quirked up in an amusement grin as his index finger poked her forehead to wake her up from her daze.

Jisoo believed she was still drunk as she diverted her gaze back to the cup. "I needed that."

"I can't believe you got drunk, crying over a complete asshole," His tone was mocking, yet serious as if he was trying to scold weirdly. Jisoo's headache found it funny hearing her ex-boyfriend titled an asshole by the one who was hitting on her a month ot two ago.

She took a large sip, the cold caffeine electrifying her throat, subsiding the hard knocks a little but not powerful enough to fill the missing pieces from the night before. She was embarrassed about how she bawled in front of him, so the extra flashback of her clinging to his arm or carrying her on his back increased her desire to disappear.

"He is a jerk who absolutely doesn't deserve you or your ugly tears. Your worth isn't determined by a selfish cheater who doesn't even care." Jinyoung sincerely broke her silence with warm reassurance that she had never expected from a famous playboy. The warmth and calmness of his tone warmed her shaken heart too much for her to admit.

"Do playboys give advice now?" Jisoo teased, meeting his gaze with a grin. His worry was wiped by a relieved smile by the light act.

"You are right. I'm a playboy who will soon make you fall for him."

"What happened to our truce?"

"My freedom is granted the day you take the cast off. I hid evil Jinyoungie for too long that all you remember angel Jinyoungie."

Jisoo's cheeks heated up in embarrassment, as she hid her red face in her petite palm. Jinyoung was right, she shouldn't have sipped with the foul drunk mouth of hers. Jinyoung's giggles could be heard louder as if he shifted closer to her figure. She slid her hand off her face to see his arm stretched inches apart from her, and his fingers dancing on her touchpad to check what she had been working on.

It should have been a normal/usual scene for them, but for unknown reasons, Jinyoung's body radiated extra warmth, his hazelnut eyes glowed extra from the sunlight slipping through the window, his ruffled hair looked softer, and Jisoo was convinced that she was still drunk and probably needed another sip of coffee to stop whatever that was.

"This relativity shit reminds me of Interstellar," Jinyoung tsked blandly, his fingers leaving the laptop to twirl the pen next to it.

"Because interstellar is based on relativity theories idiot, that's why we need to discuss the grandfather paradox theory,"

"Are we really working today?" Jinyoung protests accompanied the child's act of blocking the illuminated screen.

Jisoo rolled her eyes and slapped his hands. "We need to pass, stop whining."

"We don't need another A+"

"We still don't know that Jinyoung."

"We nailed every class work, project, presentation—"

"We still have finals,"

"You are a certified nerd,"

"Honored to be. Come on, It's an easy concept,"
