“Wait, what?! Alphas are going to be the SSG Officers automatically?!” Gen can’t believe of what she heard from Kuya Logan at kahit naman ako ay gano’n din dahil ang akala namin ay kailangan pa naming mag-elect ng mga students, but it turns out, it’s not.

“Yes, Ingrid. And to your clarification, supreme student government is different from student councils. They are like the right hand of the SSG Officers and if student councils have different kind of positions, SSG Officers doesn’t have but they have their leader,” paliwanag ni Kuya Logan and I already can feel the pressure that the academy will be putting on us—Alphas.

“Hmmm… we see. But since you said that you won’t be the leader of the Alphas anymore, sino na ang papalit sa ‘yo, kuya?” Tanong naman ni Lucas habang hini-hiwaan ako ng strawberries.

Katatapos lang namin kumain at na sa pavilion kami dito sa likod ng manor ng Alphas at napaka-sarap tumambay dito dahil presko. Idagdag pa ang magandang tanawin and I can’t help but feel like the nature is spoiling us—the Alphas. But it’s just my feeling, though, I am still thankful because having this kind of scenery relaxes us and gives us peace.

“Of course, that would be Aiden, my cuz!” Inakbayan pa ni Kaizer si Aiden na katabi ko at natawa na lamang kami ng tingnan siya ng masama ng pinsan niya kaya naman walang nagawa si Kaizer kung ‘di ang bawiin ang kamay niya.

Poor Kaizer.

“Yeah, indeed. And since I am now a masteral student this coming school year, there’s a possibility that I can’t be with you often, especially regarding missions that came from the higher-ups. Well, unless they requested me to join you,” Kuya Logan said, and we all nodded, and I know that they feel the same way I am.

I am going to miss my kuya…

“Hmmm… I am just curious though,” lahat naman kami ay napabaling kay Azriel ng magsalita siya. “SSG is a new term for us, and I wonder what kind of power they have. I mean, of course, they are the supreme students—we are the supreme students, means, mataas ang ating posisyon, ngunit ano ba ang kaya at dapat nating gawin?” He asked while full of curiosity.

“Have you read the academy’s book, you, dumbass?!” Nanggigigil na wika ni Oddie dito kaya naman hindi namin mapigilang matawa, lalo na at tila sumusuko si Azriel habang naka-tingin kay Oddie.

“Sorry na kasi, babe!” May pagmamakaawa ang boses ni Az but Oddie only snob him before she excused herself na kaagad naman siyang hinabol ng kasintahan.

“I never imagined my twin brother being like that… softy…” tila para sa sarili lang ‘yon ni Rielle but she voiced it out kaya naman natawa kaming lahat na naka-rinig. That’s when she realized but she only shrugged her shoulder.

“Kabaligtaran naman sa akin…” bigla ko namang nai-wika kaya naman napatingin silang lahat sa akin habang si Lucas naman ay natigilan mula sa paghihiwa ng strawberries bago unti-unting tumingin sa akin at gusto kong matawa sa kaniyang mukha. “I have been imagining Lucas to be like that towards a lad—”

“Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!” Hindi ko naman mapigilang matawa dahil sa reaksyon niya ngayon. Hindi maipinta. “What the—you’ve been what?!” Mas lalo akong natawa at narinig ko na lang din na sinabayan na nila akong pagtripan ang kambal ko.

“Pota! Hindi ko siguro kakayanin kung makikita kong gano’n ka, Luke!” Tawang-tawang wika ni Jacob kaya naman tinignan siya ng masama ni Lucas and the teasing continues, and I feel sorry for my twin.

Dapat ba hindi ko na sinabi ‘yon?

The academy asked for our presence here because as SSG Officers, we must settle things first before the school year starts at ‘yon ang ginawa namin sa nagdaang araw. The reason why we are here at the academy. We helped the teachers, finalize things such as the facilities, especially, the training rooms, review the punishments, and occasions, at iba pang mga bagay na pwede namin bigyan ng opinyon at suggestions. As SSG Officers too, we must know the rules and punishments, and other important things about the academy.
