The Diplomatic Team and Tazuna walked down the narrow road.
"Tazuna-san can you tell us about the bridge your building?" asked a curious Sakura.
Akihito looked up from his book and looked at Tazuna, waiting for him to tell his story.
Tazuna sighed and looked at the annoying little brats, "Well, I'm building that bridge so that the people of the Land of Waves can finally be free".
"Free from who?" said Sakura
Tazuna's eyes hardened, "Free from that tyrant, Gato". Tazuna spewed Gato's name with venom.
Akihito looked surprised at Tazuna, "Gato?! As in Gato of Gato Enterprises. That dude is filthy rich, he's listed as one of the most richest men in the world. We kinda have some business dealings with him".
Tazuna looked at Akihito and smiled mockingly, "That's just his cover. His real business is prostitution and illegal importation/exportation of drugs. He's been controlling the Land of Waves for years, hoarding our resources and draining the Land of Waves from it's foundation until there's nothing left".
Everyone looked surprised at this.
"But don't you guys have a daimyo or military forces" asked Akihito
"We had a Royal Family. But the Daimyo made the mistake of having a business deal with Gato. Gato had a business mind so he didn't want anyone to question his actions, so he planned to eliminate the Daimyo. After manipulating the Daimyo to send half of his army to the Land of Iron with the pretense of training, he put his plan into action. He hired missing nins and ronins to fight his battles and to take over the Land of Waves. In the End, he killed all of the Royal Family. Down to the last child. He then solidified his rule over the Land of Waves and forced us, the citizens, to give everything we had to him. Our money, our land, our freedom.
"What happened to half the military forces that were send to the Land of Iron" asked Kakashi.
"Those military forces were wiped out by Gato's hired missing nins and ronin before they even got to the Land of Iron".
Everyone looked sad for the situation that the Land of Waves was in. SO they continued the rest of their trip in silence.
"Hey Akihito what book are you reading?" asked Kakashi.
Akihito looked up from his book, "It's a book on the histories of the Senju and Uchiha Clan".
Kakashi nodded, "Hm, interesting. What chapter are you at?"
"I'm at the chapter where Hashirama and Madara have made peace between their clans".
Kakashi stopped for a moment, "That's common knowledge, why are you re-reading it again?''
"I'm re-reading it again becauseee, it's interesting to see the peace treaty between Hashirama and Madara was from someone else's perspective".
"Like who?" said Sakura.
"Like Tobirama Senju, Hashirama's only surviving brother".
"What about him, he hates the Uchiha to the core" said Sasuke.
"I know but, what was he thinking at that time when Hashirama and Madara shook hands, signifying the end of the war between the Senju and the Uchiha".
