Chapter 13. The Todoroki Siblings

When I was younger, I didn't have the best of childhoods. But that's just like other villains, right? We do not simply choose this path for ourselves. We are often driven to it. I was like that. Shouto was like that.

That son of a bitch Endeavour has no clue how to look after children. Our only purpose to him was quirk holders. And when we didn't give him the quirk he wanted, he discarded us. And yes. I included myself. Why? Because I was his first child.

Touya Todoroki.

Of course I haven't used that name in forever.

I cut ties with the Todoroki family.

I have no need to involve myself with them.

But when I saw Shouto, my baby brother, only 14, walk through the door of the bar, covered in cuts and bruises, my blood boiled.
"Did Endeavour do this!?" I wanted to scream. But then I remembered. I cut my ties with them. This wasn't my business. But Shouto was there and he needed my help. He just didn't need to know that it was me just yet. I'll tell him someday. I think.

"Welcome to the league of the villains."
Shigaraki's rough voice filled the empty room.
"I'm Tomura Shigaraki. That man behind the bar counter is Kurogiri. And that man covered in purple scars over there is Dabi. Enjoy your stay."
Shouto simply nodded.
"What's the kid needed for?"
"Well Dabi, he is non other than Endeavour's son! We now have his weakness."
"If you think that asshole cares about his kids, you are solely mistaken."
"Huh?"
I laugh quietly.
"Oh silly me. He would care about dear Shouto over there."
"After all.. you are his prize possession ~"
"What do you know!?"
"I know that he probably did that to you Kid! I know that he probably left you in a ditch to die to see if you were strong enough to overcome that! I know that he doesn't care about you! About any of his kids! I know more than you think.. Shouto."
"..."
I sigh as I stand up making my way out of the bar, grabbing out a cigarette and sticking in my mouth, taking out a lighter, setting alight of the tip.
"That damn son of a bitch doesn't care about any of his family. Just look how he acted when I ran away. Exactly. He did nothing."
I breathe in the warmth of the toxic gas and released it into the air, watching the white smoke disburse and disappear into nothingness. I give a little laugh.
"I was always the unimportant one."
"...Touya?"
I hear a familiar voice behind my back. I turn to look.
"Shouto."
"I thought it was weird how you knew my name. I was never introduced and the other information."
"You were introduced as Endeavour's son."
"That still doesn't explain. And the dialogue you just spoke. How do you explain that?"
"You see me denying your little realisation?"
I take another breath out, realising the smoke trapped.
"So you are Touya."
"That would be correct."
"Why did you run away!?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
"..."
"Look Shouto. That man is a bastard that deserves death. That's why I joined. I'm going to kill him one day. To end the suffering of our Natsuo and Fuyumi. Even you and I."
"I'll help you."
"Hm?"
"I'll help you rid that man of the earth."
I smirk.
"Sounds good Baby Bro."
