Goodbyes Hurt

I'm soaring
Except my feet are on the ground
I'm traveling a million miles per minute.
Like a silent earthquake is underneath me,
I'm saying goodbyes
To people who shaped my rocking world.
Yet still alive
By the people who stay.
They say people are temporary in your life
To cherish them but don't attach too much.
It's like giving someone the world
Telling them not to use it.
He said I'll be okay
I believe it.
I do.
But sometimes it's tiring being the thing
That keeps you from leaving
The ground that keeps on shaking
Like your going to get pulled down but you can't.
It's too much,
The only thing I can say is
I wish you well
And
Goodbye.
