I had just been staring at Raihan while he was sleeping since I was already awake and I didn't want to wake him up by getting out of bed since he was holding me in a tight hug. His eyes finally fluttered open and once he saw me, he smiled. "Morning, sunshine."

I gave him a small smile in return and breathed in deeply. "I slept...okay. But god, I am sore."

Raihan chuckled under his breath. "Yeah, I was worried you would be. It'll go away eventually."

I started to roll out of bed and so did he. We got dressed and ate cereal together since we were both too tired to do anything serious for breakfast. I decided to bring up the topic since we...uh...got interrupted last night while talking about it.

"So what should we tell Leon?"

Raihan practically spit out his cereal. "Uh...well, do we have to tell him?"

I just rolled my eyes. "I know you don't want to tell him, but it's useless to hide it. I'm his sister, he'll figure something's going on eventually."

"Yeah, but..."

"If you don't tell him with me I'm just telling him on my own."

Silence. I sighed in frustration. "Fine. Act like a child, I don't care. I'm going to tell him."

I got my phone and pulled up my contacts, clicking on Leon's picture.

"Hey, me and Raihan are dating now. I know you're probably gonna be pissed but...sorry?"

Wait. No. That's...probably just gonna piss him off more.

"Raihan and I are dating, if you need to talk with me just...let me know."

Okay. Not great, but slightly better. I put my phone away and walked up behind Raihan, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. I bury my face in the crook of his neck and he sighs and lets me.

He stands up, almost knocking me off because I'm shorter than him and I was only his height sitting down. To prevent me from falling off, he quickly turns, catching me, and holds me by my thighs. Our lips meet again and he leads me to the couch, sitting down so we can kiss easier. I hear my phone buzz but ignore it. When I'm with Raihan, everything else goes away. He makes it better.

-------

After a while of just sitting on the couch, cuddling, ocasionally poking each other in the sides, there's a knock at the door. Raihan's head perks up and looks to the door. "Huh, wonder who that could be?"

He stands up, and I reluculantly let go of him. As soon as he opens the door, I see a familiar face peering over his shoulder into the living room, locking eyes with me.

Shit.

"Y/N? We need to talk."

Leon glares at Raihan. "Can I talk to Y/N...privately? Outside?"

Raihan just moves aside and gestures for me to follow Leon. I nervously get up and walk out the door, Raihan shutting it behind me to give us privacy. "You wanna explain why I got a text from you at 8 in the morning saying that you and Raihan are dating?"

I rubbed the nape of my neck. "Look, I can explain..."

"You might want to."

I started thinking of the best possible way to tell him why only yesterday I sent him a message during a breakdown about how I hated Raihan for leaving me at his house alone, and then the next it was "Hey Leon! No alarm, but I'm dating your rival!" without mentioning we had sex. Telling him we were dating probably wouldn't upset him too much, but...well, you know. I guess I should expect a reaction, he is my brother after all. It's just in his nature to be protective.

"Okay, so...Raihan and I made up when he got back last night. Which, Jesus Leon, you punched him in the face! And he didn't even try to punch you first or even fight back!"

Leon groaned. "I was mad! He just-he just left you there, Y/N! I couldn't just not do something-"

"It's not your job to protect me, Leon!"

"I don't want to lose you like I lost Dad, Y/N! Why can't you...why can't you just see that..."

Tears started streaming down his face, and he dropped to his knees. "Leon..."

I kneeled down beside him and attempted to wrap my arms around him. "Leo, I love you, you know that?"

He sniffed, nodding. "Y-yeah."

"I would never leave you like Dad did, you know that too, right?"

"I just...I'm s-so protective of you because I don't want someone to hurt you like Dad hurt us. I'm scared, Y/N. I'm scared as hell I c-could lose you like I lost him."

I rested my head on his shoulder and rubbed his back in an attempt to comfort him, and it seemingly worked as his breathing slowly calmed and he stopped hiccuping in between words. "I know you just want to protect me, Leo. But I'm old enough to take care of myself. I'm allowed to see people and have a life."

He uncovered his face, his eyes still red from where he'd cried. "Yeah. I get it. I want you to be happy, Y/N. Even if that means you're being happy with my rival, as long as you're happy."

I let out a snort, which causes him to give me a very questioning look. I clear my throat. "Sorry, it's just...you guys aren't rivals. You may say you are but Raihan's told me with his own mouth that you guys have been friends for the longest time."

Leon didn't say anything, obviously not able to come up with a continuing point of arguement.

"Now, if you don't care, I'm gonna go inside now. I love you, and I promise I'll always be here if you want to talk."

He stood up, dusting off his knees. "Promise?"

"Promise."

--------------

It was later that night when I remembered something. "Hey Rai?"

Raihan poked his head in from the kitchen. "Yeah?"

"I was just thinking...why has Leon always been so adament on insiting you two are rivals and you just...joke around about it?"

He shrugged, coming into the room and sitting down beside me. "I honestly just...always saw it as a joke. When we were kids, we were actually rivals, fighting to be the next Champion. But then he got the title and...well, I didn't see a reason to call us rivals anymore since we weren't technically going head-to-head anymore. He always sees it that way since I'm always challenging him to rematches and that, but I just do it for my fans."

I blinked. Really? Leon made it seem so much bigger than it was. Then again, he did that for everything. "I was just wondering because when we talked earlier, he wouldn't stop calling you his rival. It's not that he cared we were dating, more so that I just sprung it on him like that."

"Well, you know Leon better than anyone. He's quite the dramatic person."

"Oh, shut it. You're dramatic too."

"Gasp! I am not!"

I elbowed him playfully, earning a laugh out of him. "So...should I move in permanently?"

My question seemed to float in the air before he responded. "Thought you already were."

I shrugged. "Just wanted to make sure with you."

I'm probably gonna be on a kick of writing chapters for this because I've been listening to Visions of Gideon on repeat and wanting to cry and write angst, so expect that in the next chapter :')
