The first week of winter break went by smoothly maybe too smoothly.. but something was missing I had only seen Josie twice at the Ice skating rink and then I bumped into her at the grocery store she only mumbled a quick hello and then left.
Which confused me so I was just left there standing with my eyebrows furrowed.
Today is New Year's Eve and then in a couple more days we're back to school for Second Semester.
Also fun fact The Salvatore family always throws a Annual New Years party I hadn't gone the past years due to the fact that will they where also my family..
My mother and Elena had been Twin sisters but they got separated when they where Four years old.. their parents weren't really stable so they got sent to foster care.
Elena ended up being adopted by The Gilbert's and for some reason they couldn't adopt my mom.
So my mom stayed in the Foster care System for years.
Her and my aunt Elena would still hang out and kept up with each other but once my mom turned 18 and she was able to leave she stayed with her for a while until something happened and they fell off.
They didn't speak for some time.
However when I was little she would come visit me but then suddenly one day they argued again and she stopped coming but she always sent me presents for Christmas, and my birthdays sometimes she would even call me.
When my mother died she was there at the funeral she told me I could stay at her house but my father kindly declined her offer since I was already set to move with him.
That had been the last time I saw her and her husband Damon.
So when my father told me about the annual party and how I didn't have to go if I didn't want to I only nodded and made my way to my room where I have been spending the last two days debating if I should go.
There really wasn't a reason not to go I didn't hate my aunt.
But for some reason I felt like I would be betraying my mother even though deep down I know she would've wanted me to go.
I sigh looking at my ceiling and then get up and make my way to Hope's room.
I knock at her door.
"Come in." She says, I open her door and I stand by the door arms crossed.
"What's wrong?" She says right away noticing my facial expression.
