SOPHIE'S POV
What did Councillor Emery want with Tam?
The question kept rolling around in my head as my friends went back to eating and talking.
Sighing, I put my elbow on the table and rested my chin on it.
Great.
So nobody cared.
Or, at least they weren't showing it.
To be fair enough, Tam is MY boyfriend. It's not like it's THEIR business.
I sighed again, loudly enough for the rest of my friends to hear.
Biana stared at me, Dex gave me a funny look, Keefe raised his eyesbrows, Linh smiled nicely, and Fitz stared.
HARD. And a lot.
I blinked really fast and finally he looked away.
About twenty minutes later, Tam came in the door, frowning.
He had frowned a lot, but not this bad in the how many years I've known him.
" C'mere," He grabbed my elbow.
" Yeah?" I asked as he pulled me in to the hall. " What did Emery want?"
Tam took a deep breath before blurting quietly, " Councillor Emery is forcing me to join the Neverseen-or else."
