There is that looming feeling of heaviness in your chest that you feel when something is missing. Like small pebbles had been placed on it. That's how I was feeling as we travelled to Thunder Crest. My mind was worrying over my son who was back in the castle and whom I wouldn't be able to see for the next day or two. Rubbing my horse's mane, I sighed.

" You look miserable. " Dorian finally broke the silence.

" Why would you say that? " I frowned at him.

" This like the fourth time you have sighed. " He scowled, " It's pretty annoying. "

Rolling my eyes at him, I looked forward.

" Are you okay? " His voice came out hesitant this time.

" Why won't I be? " I gave him a small smile.

" Because I don't know? You didn't reward me with any of your smart remarks? I won't know if you don't tell me. " He was getting irritated by the second.

" Tell you what? " Now I was enjoying riling him up, it replaced the heaviness of my heart with playfulness.

" Just answer the blasted question Princess. " Giving out a frustrated sigh, he looked forward deciding to ignore me.

" I miss my baby. " I sighed softly.

Giving me an unimpressed look, " It's barely been an hour since we left. "

" I don't know how I can be without him for this whole time. " I pouted.

" Let's focus on the task at hand, this way you will have him back in your arms before you know it, okay Princess? " He tried placating me and won.

" Okay. "

" Besides, I am sure he is having the time of his life. " Dorian threw me a mischievous smile, lighting up his features.

" What do mean by that? " I narrowed my eyes at him.

" What do you think it is that your father bribed him with, to make him agree so eagerly? "

I pondered over the answer, " Something he loves. "

" Exactly something he loves, but at the same time something he can't have in your presence. " He pointed.

" That's not true, I never stop him from doing anything he loves! " I glared at him.

" You sure bout that Princess? " Dorian cocked a brow at me.

" Except....except having more than two pieces of apple pie. " I added begrudgingly. " But hey! In my defence, he gets a sugar rush and causes havoc in the entire castle. "

" Looks like the King is going to have really hefty two days. " He whistled lowly.

" You think he would let Raph have the entire pie? " I sit straight in alarm, making Thunder neigh.

In reply, Dorian simply shrugged, wincing slightly.

" Oh, forgive me for forgetting, " I grinned at him, " How are your highly rejuvenated muscles? "

" Peachy. " He muttered rubbing his sides as his horse made a slight jump over the bush in its path.

I giggled which resulted in him scowling at me. It was then that I really looked at his face and saw how tired he was. The usual brightness of his emerald eyes was dimmed and there were slight bags under them.

" Did you even sleep? " I worriedly leaned closer to get a better look at him.

" Barely. " Rubbing his eyes, he gave me a tired smile.
