The horizon was a mixture of non-identical but magical hues tonight. The starry sky looked beyond picturesque while the crescent innocently hid like a child behind a thick blanket of fluffy clouds as if they were its mother. I continued to blankly stare at this beautiful phenomenon of nature while some melodious voices from outside entered in my ears. I had never heard something as soulful, as pure and as peaceful as this. Perhaps some children were reciting few verses in chorus.

Lost in my own fantasy, I failed to notice a young boy who came inside my room and placed a tray full of dry fruits by my side.

"Amir Bhayi has sent them for you." The boy smiled and turned to leave.

"Listen" I stopped him.

"Where are these voices coming from?" I asked with curiosity.

"The kids are reciting Quran outside. They come here every evening and Amir Bhayi gives them a Sabaq." The guy smiled.

"Can you take me there?" Don't know what made me ask that.

"Sure brother."

I followed him along the wide and heavenly scented neat and clean corridors of the Mosque in search of those melodious voices.

YES! The same Mosque which had given me refuge last night!

I still can't understand what was a sinful and an alcoholic man like me doing in a holy place like Mosque? But somehow, Amir had succeeded in persuading me to stay here for few days. This place was unfamiliar, hence he insisted that he won't let me roam here and there in search of a hotel in a town where I have been for the very first time. At first I was reluctant, irritated and not satisfied with his company and these rest rooms of the Mosque which were not luxurious at all, something which I was not at all habitual of.

Luxury, glamour and brands.

These were the only three things I kept running after throughout my entire life.

This place lacked all three of them, but still there was something!

Solace,

Tranquility,

Relief

&

Spirituality!

There was something in Amir too. Amidst so much depression and frustration, I found comfort through his presence. Although it had not even been twenty four hours since our meeting, but still his words were acting like a medicine on my wounds.
