Maryrose's POV

We arrived and Barbossa came to get us with some crew members. They tied mine and Elizabeth's wrists together. While Barbossa put the medallion around Elizabeth's neck. We then rowed to the island to the cave entrance. "Be mindful of pits and crevasses. Stay together" Barbossa tells us all. He leads the way and I stick close to Elizabeth. As we continue on a pirate gazing upward in wonder, moves a few feet away from the group. Barbossa grabs him as he nears a chasm. "Careful, mate. Fall down there, you'd die and miss Judgement Day -- for not even the Lord himself will come look for you here" he states,

We reach a set of winding stairs and head down them. As we enter the main chamber. The treasure of Isla De Muerta is revealed: overflowing chests of coins, gold and silver ingots, jewelry, objects d'art, jade and ivory, brightly colored silks, furniture, jewels and pearls; mirrors and swords -- anything and everything of value that might be carried by ship, is here.

"The curse drove you to gather this?" I ask Barbossa as I look around in awe.

"Aye. And not a bit of it any use to us, only hoarded. But it will drive us no longer" he states. "Once the curse is lift you may take a small chest full of treasure" he adds.

"Thank you Captain Barbossa" I say smiling. I look back at Elizabeth. Who gad paused to stare at herself in a jewel-encrusted mirror -- and then is pushed along by the pirates. We enter another chamber mainly filled with jewels and pearls. But a  hole in the ceiling lets in a column of moonlight, which illumines: A stone chest, lid pushed back, decorated with carved Aztec glyphs, filled with gold coins identical to pirate medallion.

A sharp stone knife lies on top. In front of it, buried in the sand is a skeleton -- and this one doesn't look like it's going to move ever again, judging by the sword in its back. "Here we stand before the cursed treasure of Cortez himself. Won by blood, it demands blood in return" Barbossa tells Elizabeth and I.

All eyes turn onto Elizabeth. Barbossa takes the stone knife from the chest, approaches her. Elizabeth shrinks back, but is held by two other pirates. Barbossa grabs her by the wrist. She turns her head away, shuts her eyes. While  I watch. Barbossa raises the knife and then very carefully, daintily, uses just the sharp tip of the knife to juck prick! Elizabeth's finger. One tiny red drop of blood appears, and drips down onto the medallion.

"That's it?" I ask surprised, expecting them to kill her.

"What did you expect? We're all gentlemen here, right and proper" Pintel tells me. He and Ragetti stand either side of me. Barbossa takes the medallion with a smile.

"You know the first thing I'm going to do after the curse is lifted? Eat a whole bushel of apples" Barbossa tells us with a grin. He approaches the chest, shining in the beam of moonlight. "What was begun by blood, let blood now end" he says and tosses it into the chest with the other medallions.

"Did it work?" the first mate asks.

"I don't feel no different" Ragetti states.

"How do we tell?" the deadeye pirate asks. Barbossa draws a pistol and shots Pintel. I scream covering my ears. Did he have to shoot one of the pirates right next to me?

"You're not dead" the first mate states.

"No, he shoot me" Pintel whines.

"The curse is still upon us" deadeye says.

"You. Maid. Your father. What was his name?!" Barbossa demands as he grabs Elizabeth roughly. "Was your father William Turner?!" he shouts shaking her.

"No" she says calmly. The pirates cry out in alarm. Barbossa gathers himself, getting his rage under steely control. He grabs the medallion and waves it at her.

"Where's his child? The child that sailed from England eight years ago, the child who is the real owner of that medallion, the child in whose veins flows the blood of William Turner?! Where?" he demands. She remains silent and he back hands her. I run over to her.

"You brought us the wrong person" I hear a pirate yell at Pintel and Ragetti.

"She had the medallion! She's the right age. She said her name was Turner" Pintel states.

"What about the other woman? The one who refuses to tell us her name?" the first mate asks.

"She is to old" Barbossa states. I grumble, I'm only a year older then Elizabeth. I hear the water splash beside Elizabeth and I. We look to see Will and smile. He motions for us to be quiet and follow him. Elizabeth grabs the medallion and we quietly slip into the water. We follow him to the longboats and steal all the oars. Then row to the HMS Interceptor.

Where we're meet by  another pirate crew. "Not more pirates" Elizabeth groans.

"Welcome aboard Miss Swann" Mr Gibbs says as he steps forward. He then spots me behind her. "Three women on board? A man don't have to be superstitious to know that's trouble" he grumbles.

"Still the same old Gibbs" I say with a smile.

"Have we meet before miss?" he asks me confused.

"Once eight years ago, I went by a different name then" I tell him. He nods his head and looks at Will.

"Where be Jack?" he asks him.

"Jack?" I ask confused.

"Jack Sparrow?" Elizabeth asks.

"He fell behind" Will states and leads Elizabeth away.

"Keep to the code" Gibbs tells the crew and we set sail. "Now, what is your name miss?" he asks me. As we walk to the helm together.

"You can call me Mary" I tell him.
