~Gray~

The rest of the day went by quicker than I thought it would have. I got out of math with Erza and Levy and we all went to the front of the school. The others were standing there watching the three of us walk to them. Just when we got there, Sting came up from behind us and jumped onto my back. I stumbled forward, falling and landing right in the middle of...Lucy's chest. My face immediately turned red and I felt it burning from embarrassment.

"Lucy! I-I-" I couldn't speak. I froze.

Lucy looked shocked for a second, then spoke. "It's ok Gray. I know it was an accident."

I sighed with relief, then looked at Natsu. He looked at me and I could tell what he was thinking. 'You're cute when you're embarrassed.' He walked over, hugging me. I wrapped my arms around him, breathing in every smell that was coming off of him. We pulled away, "Hey guys, sorry but I can't hang out today. I have to help Sting and his mom get their stuff unpacked."

"Just how long is he staying with you?" Natsu asked. He's so jealous. I smiled.

"Natsu I told you earlier, he's going to stay with me until his mom can find a place."

He crossed his arms, turning around. I wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing his cheek, then I turned to head back to my house. Sting followed after, trying to catch up.

When we got home Jane greeted us happily, "Hello boys, did you have a good day at-Gray! What happened to your face?!?!?"

Oh crap.

"While we were at school he tripped and accidentally hit his head on my knee."

She sighed, "You were always a clumsy kid. He broke his arm when he fell out of bed once. Landed on a toy truck and snapped it. Huh."

Sting laughed. I glared at her, "Jane!"

She just laughed. "Oh! I was looking at the spare room in the basement and there's mold growing out of every corner in there. Sting's mother is in the spare bedroom that is next to you so we'll have to put Sting in with you for the time being."

"What about the couch?" I asked.

She swatted me with a towel, "They are our guests and we don't make guests sleep on the couch in this house. You know that."

"Then can I sleep on the couch?"

She gave me a wierd look, "No. If I won't let a guest sleep on the couch then I certainly won't let my own kid."

I sighed, there was no use fighting it. We grabbed Stings clothes and headed upstairs. I pulled down an extra bed from the side panel in the wall. Sting put his clothes in the empty dresser I had and then made his bed military style.

"Where'd you learn to do that?" I asked.

He shrugged, "My dad was in the military before he died. He was shot in the back. Literally."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"Its fine. What about you're parents?"

Bad memories. Thats all this subject was.

"I never knew my father. He left when I was an infant. When I turned seven my mom and my brother left me in an orphanage. Since then I've been living with Jane."

"Wow. Harsh."

Sting continued to put his clothes away when he pulled out a slip of paper. "Is this them?"

I looked at it, seeing Ur and Lyon. I thought I had lost that picture a while ago but I guess not. "Yeah."

The picture had all three of us in it. It had been taken the day before they had left. Ur was standing behind us with her hands on our heads. Lyon was doing a thumbs up while I was smiling with my hands on my hips. I also noticed neither Lyon or me had shirts on...

Sting laughed. "You look so much happier in this photo."

I smiled sadly, "Yeah. I guess until I met all the friends I have here I forgot to smile. I remember the day I met Lucy and all of them. It changed my life."

He handed me the picture, which I set on the table, then he went downstairs. I heard a knock on the door and went to open it. Natsu, Lucy, Loke, Erza, Jellal, Wendy and Romeo stood there, smiling.

"Wha-What are you guys doing here?" I asked.

"You never told us that today was your birthday."

Yeah. It was also the day Ur and Lyon abandoned me. "I'm not really into celebrating my birthday."

"Well you are now!"

"Who's there Gray?" Jane asked from upstairs.

"Some friends from school."

She walked down and saw all the balloons they were holding.

"Gray! Your birthday is today?!?!"

"Wow." I heard Loke say.

"Uh..yeah." I hung my head, not wanting this right now.

"Come in, come in, all of you." Jane put her hand on my stomach, pushing me out of the way gently. I winced, stepping out of her range of push. (Idk xD)

Everyone came in and saw Sting sitting on our couch. I looked at Natsu, but it didnt seem like he cared. We all went into the living room with Sting and watched movies. Natsu sat down in the Lazy-Boy and pulled me onto his lap. I leaned into him and he wrapped his arms around me. Loke sat next to Sting with Lucy on the other side of him, resting her head on his shoulder. Wendy and Romeo were laying on the ground with their heads in their hands like kids do and Jellal was sitting on the couch across from me with Erza's head in his lap. She was spread out on the couch like a cat. I noticed that two of us were missing.

"So where is Levy and Gajeel?"

Lucy smiled, "They're getting you a present of course."

Oh brother.

~Natsu~

It hurt that Gray hadn't told me about his birthday. I shrugged it off, resting my head on Gray's shoulder. He got up, "I'll be right back guys."

I watched him go into the hallway and turn left. I waited for five minutes for him to come back.

He didn't.

Ten minutes.

He still didn't.

Fifteen minutes.

I went after him, hearing a sound come out of the closet at the end of it. I opened the doors to see Gray was silently crying.
