I had a peculiar dream
About an unfamiliar girl
Who unlike the rest of us
Was not subject
To the timing of this worldHer time never moved an inch
Except in certain moments
And she didn't seem affected
By time's progressive componentEvery second in her world
Was in ours
Worth a thousand wordsIt's hard to describe
How though out of time
She made lagging behind
Weirdly beautiful
Every moment had it's own cubicle
And she tended to each so wellNow I'm sitting around a fire
Seeing her smile sway the yellow
Knowing this moment will soon expire
Like the soon-to-be eaten marshmallowFor time will turn me round the flame
Till I'm ready to be consumed
The sizzling moments of my life
Sizzling towards impending doom
And thinking back I wonder whether
I gave my one life the effort due
Or simply walked by every moment
Like a stranger passing through
Regret is all that waits for a man
If this is what he'll do
Enjoy what u can till you're dust
And mourn when u must
Just be sure to keep it true
For life is what you make it
And time..
The necessary tool
To either watch it flow or change it
A power..
Exclusive only to you
