Cities In The Sky

I wish to build a place
Upon the nothing that dwells on high
With a strong foundation
Though invisible to the eye
A seemingly impossible feat
To all that would dare to try
I wish to build a city
A city in the sky

I would abandon all reason
To bring this truth to life
For limitation is of the mind
And I've purged it enough to try
To pave roads upon the clouds
That stretch beyond the starry lights
A city illuminated and sheltered
From all the terrors of the night

Now every dream that's precious
And beyond the realm of might
Can only be blessed by the heavens
For it to find it's way to light
So to pursue a dream is reckless
A venture in which only the mad delight

For to dream is to build cities..
That escape from the mind
And find their places
Among the spaces
Reserved for greatness
In the sky

The End

Puaahh He exhales. This concludes the poetry collection that consists of many pieces close to my heart *sobs* okay maybe its not that serious.
This particular one was in view of alot of things especially of the things that drive us.. inspired alot by the thought "If your dream doesn't scare you, then is it really worth it" To be honest we don't measure the vadility of a dream on the basis of how hard it is to reach.. but I do think that a dream however grand ought to have a certain measure of conviction whether it seems possible or not... since a dream remains a dream.. in the class of things that cannot be attained by ordinary means.
Rambling aside I'm really touched if you made it this far... all I can say is the next book shall be a twice as good... to think there's people who liked it just fills me with gratitude in great depths so I think there is no fitting end for something like this.. so.. On to the next one!
